Old Mallard is the BEST house in Pocono Mountains. This home has everything you need and the views from every room are stunning and plenty of space outdoors too! The bright and Architect designed open concept kitchen, dining room and family room in a 26x26 space with 13 ft. ceilings makes it a perfect gathering space for family and friends. Share the love of cooking, playing games, sitting by the fire or watching a movie or enjoy the large game room. At night, take a walk down to our private firepit, make some smores and tell scary stories to the kids.

Plan for the amazing Poconos Outdoors, the best place to see the leaves changing, tons of festivals and great relaxing time on the lake.

If you're looking for a great vacation destination that is close enough to drive from NYC (2 hours), Old Mallard is be perfect home for you. Our family has enjoyed many summers at this home with our kids and we think it would make an ideal all-year getaway spot. The Private community comes with lots of amenities nearby including hiking trails, a white sandy beach, access to the lake, indoor heated pool (weekends from Sept to May), Outdoor Heated Pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day daily 12-8 pm). The house features a large deck overlooking the lake and again the large 40x20 private fenced-in heated Pool is a big popular amenity for Old Mallard and will open May 15, 2026. The game room with its professional size ping pong table, foosball table, mini fridge and TV area is sure to please everyone...you can challenge your kids to a competitive game of old school Galaga in our retro Nintendo NES system with 450 games.

Come to this large 4 BD, 3 BA lakefront home with tall cathedral ceilings, fully stocked NEW LUX kitchen and everything you need to impress your foodie friends or in-laws. We just installed a new large 36K HVAC in the main room for extra cooling, so it is very refreshing in the hot days coming up!

Old Mallard on Eagle Lake, is a private retreat in the Pocono Mountains. The property is very private with a wooded empty lot next to our home and only 78 steps to your private large dock, easy walk to the sandy beach and playground, ideal for the little ones to play and be able to gradually walk into the water.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to enjoy nature at its finest on our pristine lake. You'll be able to fish for bass, pike or sunfish that are all friendly! Bring the family down to the water with you as they will surely have fun exploring this beautiful setting while seeing some amazing scenery too-the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises...I guarantee it!

Nearby attractions include Tree Ventures for climbing and ziplining, Childs Park for more hiking, Bushkill Falls (The Niagara of PA) and the Delaware River for canoeing. If you want to stay home and do nothing, we have everything for you. Use our canoe and kayak for free, swim in our motor-free lake, see if you can do one lap, it's about 1 mile around. Great fun for all and very well kept. Plenty of pillows and blankets to cozy up. We look forward to hosting you at Old Mallard. You might get lucky and see some wildlife also from the property. For runners, this area has some challenging and very low-traffic hills and roads for your enjoyment. The deer will be your fans on the route.

Perfect place to a chill get away, kids loved fishing from the canoe! Great hosts!

Great hosts! The place was perfect for a chill get away. Pool was amazing and so was the hot tub. Kids loved fishing from the canoe, they were out for hours. We had 11 people and it was plenty big enough for everyone to have space. Response time when we had questions was top notch. Definitely recommend this house. I know we would stay again.

An Unforgettable Overnight Stay in Bushkill!

Cozy Bliss: Proximity to Adventure!

Great place to stay at, felt very cozy! I loved the option for the indoor and outdoor fireplace and there was a huge variety of games available as well. Hosts were very responsive and sent us great recommendations before we had even arrived. Less than an hour away from camelback and less than 30 min away from Shawnee. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place - can't wait to revisit!

We had a memorable time here. The host was top class and super available and accommodating! There were some things that hadn't been cleaned, yet upon reaching out, the host was auper responsive and sent his cleaning crew to immediately rectify the situation. The place itself is gorgeous and as advertised, beautifully situated by the water. We had a family of 11 and we are already discussing 'when' to return. :)

Ideal Getaway for Groups and Families!

Our group had a wonderful weekend at Jennifer & Jose’s house. The house is located on a private lake and we couldn’t stop getting over the beauty of our surroundings. The house itself was perfect for our group. We enjoyed the heated pool, the kayaks were a lot of fun and we enjoyed a bonfire each night. We ate dinner at the house both nights and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Any questions were quickly answered by the host and the guidebook was extremely helpful before and during our trip. We highly recommend this house for your next family/ group vacation. You won’t be disappointed.

My family and I enjoyed our vacation. It was everything we expected and more. The pool was crystal clear and very well kept. The kitchen was fully stocked which made preparing meals easy. The smores station container that was provided had everything we needed to make smores! That was a thoughtful idea. The surroundings were peaceful and I enjoyed listening to the birds. My family and I were not disappointed.

Spacious and clean!

We loved our stay at Old Mallard. It was clean, spacious and mostly as described. The pool area, although closed, looked a bit messy. The main floor bedrooms were great and the kids loved the bunk room. The dining area was plenty big for 10 of us! There were not any games as listed in the site, but lots of books. The basement and bathrooms need a little work and the basement twin room is rustic. None of this really impacted our stay. Would be nicer with some fixes but we still say the house and hosts are a 5!

Nice place for a getaway

The house was really cute with great lake views and plenty of room for our group of 12. They did a great job on what appeared to be somewhat recent renovations and the decor was on point. We enjoyed the warmth and ambiance of the fireplace and the kids LOVED the s'more station. Jose was super communicative and easy to reach. We booked this location largely for the use of the community indoor pool, but it closed way earlier than they noted online and they were closed altogether the next day so it was a bummer we weren't able to access it at all. Otherwise a lovely stay and would recommend.

Perfect!

We loved everything about this place. Perfect space for getting a large family together. Beautiful great room and game room. We were so grateful for all of the resources and toys for our almost 2 year old (pack n play, high chair, baby gate, etc.) Jose was an excellent host, available and helpful with any questions. Some perks: -20 minutes to Shawnee. -Indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, & gorgeous lakefront property. Special shoutout for Jose’s honesty for calling us so quickly when we left something very important behind! Hope we can come back!
