The Carriage House apartment (A) is a recently renovated apartment with private entrance, Brazilian cherry floors, full bath, queen bed, pull out queen size couch, full gourmet kitchen with all your cooking essentials, and a private outdoor patio --a great place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or afternoon glass of wine. The living room features a 32” flat-screen TV loaded with a premium cable package that includes HBO, Showtime and countless other networks and channels.

We are ideally located on a quaint residential street, walking distance to Church Street Marketplace, Burlington Waterfront, local beaches, the bike path, and so much more. The park at the end of our street has tennis, two playgrounds, soccer, basketball, baseball fields, a community garden, and dog friendly areas for walking and frisbee.

The south end's seven sister's neighborhood is unique. Although it is very close to town and the University, it is very quiet. This historic location hosts Citizen Cider, Arts Riot, Dedalus Wine Shop, Tomgirl Juice Company, Great Harvest Bakery, Zero Gravity Brewery, Queen City Brewery, Champlain Chocolates, Lunaroma Aromatic Apothecary, New World Tortilla, a thriving Arts community, all within a few blocks to name only a few of the neighborhood highlights. Most houses are on small lots built in the late 20's and 30's and are designated Historic by the Registry of Burlington.

My mom and I LOVED our stay at the Carriage House! There was plenty of space inside. There's a wonderful balcony that gives you the feeling of being in a treehouse. The location was fantastic. Our host was so helpful and communicative before and during our stay. Would definitely book here again!

Super cute in a great location!

Great space convenient to restaurants, schools, EV charging and the lake. I could live there permanently! Great suggestions from our host Dori and everything was as described, welcoming and comfortable.

The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The upstairs screened in porch was great and we left the door open almost all the time for a nice breeze. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook all three meals easily. We stayed for 4 weeks and were able to see much of Vermont, travel easily to Montreal and Maine and New Hampshire. The location was great if you don’t mind medium distance walks. We walked to the lake, farmers markets, university museums, Winooski’s River Walk and to dinner at several restaurants in downtown Burlington regularly. We really liked doing the 15 mile bike trail on the lake and did this several times. All in all, 4 very busy and yet relaxing weeks. Thanks Dori.

Vermont hideaway

Lovely little apartment that really did feel like you were in the trees! The windows all around gave it a wonderful outdoor feeling. Easy to find, nice neighborhood. The pictures don’t do it justice. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location!

This was a perfect spot for two people to get away. The building is in a quiet residential neighborhood so it is quiet and relaxing, and the downtown area is nearby so we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go! Check in and out were easy. We’d definitely stay here again!

Awesome little place

We had a bit of confusion with check in, but it was quickly resolved. The place itself was fantastic, the off street parking worked well. Location was great, easy to get to various things around Burlington. It’s less than a mile from the Burlington Greenway trail, if you want to go on a run or walk along the lake.

A great long weekend in VT

We had a great stay at Dori's place. The carriage house had everything we needed during a long weekend in Burlington for a hockey tournament. We enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen and relaxing in the living room. Everything was clean and in great shape! It was a quick drive to downtown and hiking trails. Thanks to Dori for great communication throughout the process.

Enjoyed our short stay

My wife and I stayed for two nights over the Columbus Day weekend. We were up in the area for a concert at the Higher Ground, which was a quick Uber ride away from the apartment. In addition to the concert, we enjoyed ourselves at many local restaurants and on a great bike ride around South Hero Island. My wife's initial response when walking into the apartment was about how clean and perfect it was for our short stay. I thought it was exactly what we needed to enjoy our weekend in the area and was very pleased with everything.

Champlain college move in weekend

My husband and i rented this property to move our daughter into college and stay the weekend in Burlington. It’s perfect for 2 people, one night on the couch was comfy enough for her 1 night with us. The apartment is quaint and quiet. It’s located in a lovely neighborhood which was perfect for walking everywhere from downtown to the breweries near by. Once move in was complete we parked and never used our car again. Great rental! Highly recommend

A Burlington Headquarters

We wanted a place from which to do everything Burlington, and this upstairs apartment met our needs. Though not fancy, this unit was well stocked and within walking distance of downtown attractions, such as the Ethan Allen ferry and the Church Street plaza. Given our outdoors activities (hiking and biking), it was great to have a washer and dryer. We also appreciated the roomy modern kitchen since we prepared several meals there.

Fun long weekend in Burlington

Went to Burlington for the Festival of Fools and to spend some time in the area. Visited the Saturday Farmers Market and the nearby Shelburne Museum which is impressive. There are lots of great places to eat. As for the stay, we were unable to use Dori’s as it had been accidentally overbooked. Fortunately her son had a rental available which had just been cleaned and was frankly quite a bit nicer than Dori’s so we stayed there. Dori was exceptionally communicative and helpful and I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from her again.

Great neighborhood

Location Location and a very responsive host! Within a mile of everything we wanted to do. We did the bike trails with were amazing and enjoyed some good restaurants. Dori a very good host. The apartment is on second floor of carriage house. The sofa was not the one in the listing and it was very worn and saggy. Loved the little outdoor screened porch for morning coffee. There were a few housekeeping issues that we discussed with Dori. The outdoor patio was attached to Dori's next door house and we did not ask about it but it seemed to be her space.Overall a good place .
