"Very beautiful place, peaceful and well located. Superb and impeccable house. Very large swimming pool, very pleasant during the hot periods of this summer. Friendly hosts, attentive, very available and responsive. Barry and Julie offered us many addresses of places to visit and good restaurants. Very good experience." 5 Stars Christian..Toulouse. Our friends visited Tuscany to celebrate a special birthday, and this villa turned out to be the perfect place. We were looking for a peaceful haven to relax in where we each had our own space, while also being well-placed to explore the region - and this spot delivered on every front. The villa is a beautiful blend of rustic charm and modern comfort - thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need, thanks to the wonderful hosts, Julie and Barrie. It is styled beautifully, with cozy touches that made it feel like a home away from home so much so, we cooked a fabulous meal on our last evening. Each morning we woke to birdsong and stunning views of the rolling hills - an idyllic setting that truly felt like a slice of paradise. The sunsets were breathtaking and the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in the views. Julie and Barrie’s hospitality was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and their thoughtful recommendations for local restaurants and sights were a huge help, especially with our limited time. Buonconvento is just a few mins drive from the villa, we were made to feel so welcome everywhere we went. We loved sitting outside Bar Sport, enjoying a drink whilst watching the world go by and the food at Porta Di Sotto was delicious as was Pizzeria Biga. There’s so much to discover nearby, but be sure to also take time to soak in the serene beauty of the villa’s surroundings. A perfect Tuscan retreat - we couldn’t have asked for more. We had the good fortune to spend some time in Tuscany and staying in this property can only add to the pleasure. The house has this lovely serene feeling to it, all calm and relaxing. It invites you to sit down and relax, with a glass of wine in your hand, and just admire the view all the way across to Montalcino. The property is lovely and modern, built in a light coloured stone. The lounge is beautifully furnished and the bedrooms are simple and elegant but lovely and cool after a hot day in the sun. Nice modern showers and the kitchen would delight any chef. Beautiful pool and beautiful views everywhere. Ideally placed for exploring Siena and all the local villages. Buonconvento, the closest village, is absolutely charming. Julie and Barrie go above and beyond to make sure you have the perfect stay, and their recommendations about places to visit, restaurants to eat in, wine to drink etc. are all top. My wife & I have been privileged to enjoy 2 stays @ this country idyll. After a long journey from Australia to be greeted by the owners warmly & with a welcome drink set our stay up. Barrie & Julie are great hosts, attentive & very genuine. The property is exactly as described, the rooms are terrific, the sense of space & furnishings provide a perfect place to relax. All of this is complemented with a lovely outdoor dining & relaxing area & a sense of tranquility. We have no hesitation in recommending the property, location & most importantly the owners for a perfect stay. Bernie kerwin 04-Oct-2024

“Hi Julie and Barrie, I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay in your lovely house. It’s a very special place and we’re bringing some lovely memories home with us. Thanks for all the advice and recommendations and for being so responsive to any queries. Thanks to Emma too who gave us such a warm welcome 😊. Hope to revisit again one day but in the meantime will be trying to find a wine to match that lovely rose you sourced for us! All the best and hope you enjoy the rest of the summer “ Judy Grainger and Family, Uk. June 2023
We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful home. I know you put a lot of effort into sharing nuggets with your guests that will help them have the most authentic experience - I can't tell you how much we appreciate that! Your thoughtfulness and help were unlike anything we've seen in renting (the wine, the day trip suggestions, the restaurant arrangements, the bocce balls, and on and on…). We had wonderful day trips to Orvieto, Sienna, Florence, biking in Chianti, etc., We visited Casale di Bibbiano on our last day, but only wish we had done that earlier in the week so that we could have taken a cooking class there! Beautiful property that surpasses all the others we’ve stayed at in this area with ideal views of the surrounding countryside and Montalcino. The owners are friendly and respond immediately, it made the stay just perfect. We’ll definitely try to be back next year!

Absolutely stunning place. THe home is located in a tranquil, unspools location without lots of tourists Village close by with all amenities including a great wine bar. Spa close at bagno vignoni for a dip Val D’Orcia picturesque scenery on your door step Montalcino wineries close by Pienza with its pecorino cheese close Siena just 30 minutes away. We had such a good stay and we went during the corona virus out break and all ran as normal with nowhere closed or stopping service as usual. Can't wait to go again some day!!

Tuscan Paradise!
We stayed here recently for a Valentine Day treat for my wife. The villa is beautiful. Even in late February we will able to sit in the courtyard and enjoy lunch with the amazing view of the rolling hills and in the afternoon in the garden under the pergola. The villa is well appointed with an excellent kitchen and pantry and the owner had left us a lovely bottle of tuscan wine from Montalcino to enjoy on arrival. The estate is so quiet and tranquil, we hope to return in the summer to take advantage of the pool! A special mention of Barrie and Julie who could not be more accommodating arranging a trips to a local vinyard and a some excellent day trip suggestions including Siena where we ate at Le Logge, which is the best dining experience we have had the pleasure to enjoy in all our years of travel to Italy plus the beauiful spa village close to Buonconvento, Bagno Vignoni where we warmed our feet in the roman spring! The village of Buonconvento is a jewel! The people were so welcoming and there really was everything you need for a countryside escape that we didnt need to venture further afield for supplies. The village had a lovely buzz to it and was not in any way touristy like some of the other more well known villages which whilst attractive like Buonconvento, seemed to be more set up for tourists. At night we walked to the local hotel for dinner and drinks on the terrace or a little bit further up the hill to the TNT pub which serves excellent pasta and pizza. I would definitely recommend the home to friends and are sure to return.
