Staying at Bear Essentials was like visiting Nana’s house on the lake
Staying at Bear Essentials was like visiting Nana’s house on the lake. First, almost everything worked at the house. Great WiFi, lots of hot water and good water pressure. Appliances worked and the kitchen is stocked with plates, glasses, and untold amounts of baking/cooking supplies. I suggest purchasing a cheap drip coffee maker as a nice addition. Not a fan of K-cups and the weak coffee it makes. The welcome package of dish soap/ dishwasher pods/ paper towels and sponge was a nice touch. The house was clean and organized. The style of the house is 1990s grandma. Lots of pics of young children and weddings on the walls. Curio cabinets filled with tchotchkes. Furnishings classic grandma. It would be helpful to label the light switches in main floor room. There must be 25 and many don’t seem to do anything. The deck overlooking the lake was awesome. We spent a lot of time out there on both the screened in and open parts. Plenty of furniture to sit on. The lot itself is big and beautiful. Fire pit, kayaks, boat house, even a small beach. The water was warm and clear. The top deck of the boat house is closed but there are plenty of places to sit in the yard. This area of the lake was also calm and quiet. So, if you like a visit to Nana’s 1990s style house on the lake this is the place for you.
