  • Pack up the whole family and make your way to your own private retreat here in Bumpass! This charming escapade is now under new ownership and has been recently upgraded to provide you with the best vacation spot. With tall ceilings, uninterrupted lake views, a volleyball court, and a fully equipped game room, there will be no lack of fun to be had on this trip. Spend long days on the water or simply relax with a favorite drink on the spacious deck in the summer sun. When everyone builds up an appetite, the chef of the group can head into the full kitchen and whip up a delicious meal as the colors of the sunset reflect off of the rippling water. When everyone is tuckered out, the sectional sofa is the perfect spot for a movie night in the living area. Board games and an Xbox gaming system are also available for some late-night competition. Additional perks include four single kayaks, one double kayak, one canoe with life jackets, and a game room with foosball, Ping-Pong, and a pool table.

    Tucked away in the trees along the shore of Lake Anna, this home away from home will feel like your own private paradise! With a private dock and boat launch mere steps from the back door, a day of kayaking, fishing, swimming, and boating will be a breeze. If you want a break from the lake, the adults of the group can indulge in a bar crawl at Lake Anna Winery, Coyote Hole Cidery, Cooling Pond Brewery, and Lake Anna Taphouse! Not to mention, the nearby hiking trails offer gorgeous views of the lake and foliage that this area is known for.

    For those with younger guests, two of the bedroom closets (including the one in the main bedroom) are very large and can easily accommodate an assembled Pack-N-Play for those who want a small, adjacent nursery.

The best of Lake Anna

Carolina Cove has everything you could possibly want for the perfect Lake Anna stay. Kayaks, a beautiful lake view, fire pit, well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for a large group to gather and socialize. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The Vacasa representative was responsive. I have stayed in lots of short term rentals at Lake Anna over the years and this was by far my favorite one! I hope to be able to return again in the future.

Week Away

The property was great. It was easy to get to. Very cozy and great location on the lake, if you're looking for quiet. The ammenities were great, and it was only about 12-14 minutes to the grocery store. We loved the space, the natural light, and the layout. I had to work during a portion of our stay, and the game served very well as an office. We would and most likely will stay there again.

Great Getaway

We were only there for a short weekend retreat, but it was a nice stay. Pros: - lots of little things were available at the house such as lifejackets to use with the canoes/kayaks, salt and pepper in the cabinet, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, laundry soap, etc. - location; great lakeside spot for easy access to the water and a beautiful view; it was an easy drive to the state park trails - privacy; despite having neighbors pretty close by, you barely notice because of the trees and vegetation - when we had trouble connecting to the internet the agency was responsive and helped immediately Cons: - all beds were very firm - the temperature rules are a bit intense 75 degrees is MAX cool in summer and 65 is MAX hot in winter Overall it was a great trip and I'd rebook in the future.

The Perfect Getaway

We had a perfect getaway at Carolina Cove. The fall weather was warm and inviting, and the view out of back of the house was spectacular! This house gave us the space to spend time together with our adult children. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. We used all of the amenities, and especially enjoyed a small trip on the kayaks. Movie night was comfortable due to the large sofa in the living room and the big screen television. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook together as a family. We had five memorable days at this house, and we will consider returning again next fall. Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Nice House

This house had beautiful views, well stocked kitchen with new items, wonderful screened porch, good outside chairs, many kayaks, volleyball net, nice ping pong table and more. We noticed this house was recently sold and could tell the new owners were making updates. Not all of them had been completed but we were flexible to live without an ice maker or dish washer. We would definitely stay here again, especially if the new owners add a nice boat house instead of just a dock. But it was still good water access. The Vacasa staff were proactive and responsive to our needs (e.g., corrected wrong wifi info given us relatively quickly, open to frequent texting of questions or minor issues. Overall, we were pleased and may rent again.

This is perfect for a family get away. Right on the water, had all the necessities in the kitchen, and very clean. Kids especially Loved the 2 provided kayaks and the large sand/beach area.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Great place to stay. It was great to be right on the lake with plenty of space for our entire group. However, the code we received to get into the property was incorrect. We had to call the rental company to gain access to the home.

Nice Place

Nice location, clean, in a quiet area of lake anna. The beds could be a bit bigger for the adults and the kitchen needs an update in regards to cutlery and pots and pans but besides that we really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Beautiful home that felt very clean. Be aware the dock is a bit on the older side so lots of splinters will be happening. We could not have asked for a more pleasant hike and stay!

Fabulous HOME

Our family getaway was fabulous from the arrival with a UNC flag hanging to the departure with the cleaning crew ensuring I was confident on how to leave the key. Every detail of living and experiencing the lake and comfy living has been thought of. We cooked in, slept with comfort, awoke to scenic views and always had a choice in activity. The house has an amazing view of the lake with a lot of amenities for your enjoyment, canoes, kayak, ping pong table, foosball, badminton, and volleyball. The check in process was contactless and easy. The house was clean for the most part. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent Vacation!

Wonderful house and very comfortable. Love the master bedroom on the main floor as my husband uses a walker and was able to access the home and have everything needed all on one floor while my son and family had the use of the entire lower level. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Great time with family

Great house for kids with plenty of room. Kayaks at the house made it a fun time on the lake. Kids fished off the dock and caught 213 fish in total 210 bluegill and 3-2+Lb largemouth bass in the 7 days we were there.
