"It’s hard to tell from the photos and the descriptions, but the higher priced rooms are in a different, much better maintained building than the lowest priced rooms. The bedrooms are nice but the biggest difference between them are the bathrooms. I would have rated it higher if I had stayed in one of the better rooms. The staff are all very nice and helpful."

The main street, often referred to as the "market road," is where you'll find most of the local businesses, small shops, and food stalls. It's a hub of daily activity, particularly on market days, and offers a glimpse into local life.

For travellers who appreciate convenience and easy access to local amenities, staying within the town centre is ideal. It means you're just a short walk from local eateries and transport links to nearby towns like Busia or Mumias. This area is good for those on a business trip or short stay who need to be close to local services.

Alternatively, for those seeking a more relaxed environment, consider accommodation slightly outside the immediate town centre. These options often provide more space and a quieter setting, away from the main road's activity.

The roads are also in better condition for travel during the dry periods.
