We booked it hoping that we will have a wonderful experience in a 4-star hotel, but we were very disappointed with the quality of room we had. They had an old radio, record player etc. wonderful if you want to see an old Kotagede type house from the inside. There's a bookshop attached to the house and it has a good selection of books, including Indonesian books translates into English, a section on Javanese culture, and political books like Gramsci etc.

"Small part of villa, with your own entrance. Not private, all windows were watching the inner yard. Very old, and your morning will start about 4 am, because of imam calling everyone. 10 min walk to Prambanan. Host really trying to help when can. Just remember it is not a hotel."
