Perfect for everyone how doesn't need butlers and room service, and instead favors hospitality.

Nice and friendly hotel at a great location!
Excellent hospitality at a nice hotel with a great breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful, spoke excellent english and went to great lengths to ensure a pleasant stay.
The common area downstairs was a social space where we met many people and shared a lot of stories, over breakfast and in the evening.
The breakfast was excellent and had variety - from granola to fruit salad and heaps of medialunas to home-made yoghurt, we felt well fed every morning.
Palermo Hollywood is a great area to stay if you like to eat and drink well in a nice area. Most of the restaurants in the area were pricey but there are some hidden gems in between the more expensive ones.
Only issue was with some problems involving rainwater coming through the roof; our bathroom roof already had some mold growing in it.

Recepcion horario limitado
I had a quick stop over in between flights to bariloche. The staff was wonderfully helpful and the room was comfortable. I loved all of the character! I simply wish I had more time to spend there!
This was a great hotel situated in a very nice neighborhood. It has the configuration of a classical Buenos Aires house from old days, and it gives you the sensation of being at home. It is very cozy and the people in charge are very friendly. They are always available to help you.
The place offers you a good trade off for what you pay
The hotel staff are very helpful in showing us where to go for food, shopping, tango show, subway, ferry and money changer. We stayed for three nights and walked around the neighood a lot, including going out at 8pm for dinner, safe. Also took the D line of subway from beginning to end and explore the city. Clise to Rose Gsrden n Japan Garden too. Very convenient location for walking tour . Breakfast is simple and just right, downstairs is very roomy and colorful, the only drawback is the small size of the room and the falling apart hard wares:)
Overall a great stay. The price, location and staff more than compensated for the inconveniences. The patio wifi only worked intermittently and so I had to go out of my room (the single at the back patio) to catch the signal in the living room. There were a lot of mosquitoes outside. I don't know whether this was due to the neighborhood itself or if there was standing water in the patio garden. No complaints about the room itself. The staff (especially Andrea, Santi, etc.) were all exemplary and very helpful. It was like staying at a friend's place.
Great friendly place to stay in Buenos Aires - close to Fitzroy and lots of cool places to eat/drink. I was travelling alone so felt very safe. The staff were very helpful too. I only stayed one night, wish I'd stayed longer.
Solar Soler is a cute little, artsy gem hidden in Palermo. The staff are incredibly nice, the breakfast is amazing, and the rooms are very clean and colorful. While I was staying there the staff gave me great ideas for what to see and how to get there. They were so great about keeping my luggage as well. I flew into BA. And went up to Iguazu for a couple of days and they stored my unneeded bags until I returned. It made my trip so much better to travel light. Thanks Solar Soler!

inexpensive place to sleep in okay neighborhood
clean sleeping space, but bathroom in poor condition: shower knobs falling off and incredibly hard to adjust, shower curtain dirty. air conditioned, which was a plus with the heat
everything is perfect at Solar Soler : an angel (Santiago) welcomes you, everything is done for helping you if you need it (Thank you Malena !)... the room is very nice, "typical" and clean, with a comfortable bathroom.
the breakfast is very fresh and tasty (including home made yogurt!).
cherry on the cake : there is a nice little "garden" (a quiet terrace)...
Great staff and hospitality. Proper quality of room and price.

There are so many things what big hotels should learn from such hotels. I would suggest the manager of such hotels to visit Solar Soler and to stay there as a guest. The people makes the difference. We felt ourselves like at home. Everything was perfect.
