The location is excellent and the staff was super helpful but the hotel itself has aged and would benefit from a little TLC. Also, from our room on the first floor you could hear water running very loudly through the pipes when guests in rooms above were having a shower. Overall a good experience nevertheless and quite affordable.

This was only the 2nd time we had booked a boutique hotel. This experience far exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming & friendly. Also probably the best continental breakfast I've had anywhere in my travels. I would go back just for the coffee alone. We miss this place already.

Large room with microwave and mini-fridge. Bed was comfortable. Employees were very friendly and helpful. They made taxi arrangements so that we could get to the airport in plenty of time for our flight. They also gave us directions to a pizza restaurant and pharmacy. The breakfast they serve is excellent and offers pastries and breads, juices, cheese and ham. The coffee is excellent.

Where design and comfort meet
Staying at this hotel is always an experience for the senses. The style and layout of the spaces is minimalist at heart but warm, inviting, cozy and comfortable. Great public spaces especially the lounge underground. To top all this off, the staff is incredibly attentive... Monica, Miguel, Valeria, Mateo.... and the rest of the crew made me feel at home. AAA+

I love the location of the hotel, there are so many restaurants And shops. The room has very nice park view and very spacious. Staff are very nice and helpful specially Monica. We stayed there for 4 nights and 4 nights in Hilton. The price were the same and the qualities were so different. This hotel has a contestant smell of bathroom in the elevator and the rooms. Needs a lot of renovation Bc everything is pretty old. The pool is pretty much a hole in the ground.

In relation to the other points observed we commented that we have reviewed public rates of the other hotel that you mention and We found that it has higher prices than ours and  rooms are smaller and without the view of our suite, however if you want to tell us in what category of room they were staying there would help us In case we have to adjust values.   In reference to the bad smell he perceived during his stay, as soon as Front was informed, the maintenance team was notified to carry out the respective review and provide a solution.   The pool was built by the General Director of the hotel, a renowned architect from Argentina, following The concept of functional design of the entire building, that is to say, is a pool that invites to be enjoyed almost exclusively by each guest and its surroundings, therefore its size, was thought from that point of intimacy. This was a good location for all we did in Buenos Aires. It was directly across from a park which made for a nice view. The decor was plain but clean. We generally don’t need fancy accommodations when we travel. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, especially Monica and Grey. They were so helpful, but more so they were such pleasant ladies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went to Iguazú Falls for one night and the hotel kept our luggage at the hotel for when we returned so we didn’t have to lug it with us. It was waiting for us in our room when we returned late from the airport. We would highly recommend this property.

Great Little Place
My wife and I stayed at the Design CE Hotel for 16 days. It was our first trip to Buenos Aires. The location of the hotel was great! It was within walking distance of the Teatro Colon where we had tickets for opera and the neighbourhood had several good restaurants nearby. As a neighbourhood it wasn't as crazy as San Telmo or Palermo but we appreciated the relaxed tranquility. As a seasoned traveller I was pleasantly surprised that the breakfast service which started at 7 a.m. went until noon. On holiday one usually likes to get up around 10 a.m. so this was great! The room was in the style of an industrial loft which might not be to everyone's taste but I found it practical, clean and uncluttered. The wifi was fast and worked the whole time. The front desk staff was helpful in helping us secure restaurant reservations and even showing us how to travel by subway. Also, they introduced us to Yerba Mate!!! This is a hotel I would definitely come back to.

Great value hotel with outstanding staff
Beds are very comfortable, good location and suprisingly quiet for a 2nd floor room overlooking a charming square. Great location - 3 mins to Carrefour express, 5 mins to a larger grocery store (Disco), 10 mins from a main road of shops. A big thank you to Grely, Monica, Fabian and Miguel - fantastic friendly service at all times of day. This made a big difference. Would stay again.

Good location. Excellent Staff
I arrived the 2 days before a general strike. This caused me to have to change onward plans. The staff informed me of the strike, of which I was not aware, and assisted me in changing plans under difficult circumstances. I've returned to the hotel and the staff continues to be very accomadating and friendly.

Great hotel close to everything! Customer service is amazing. This is "my" hotel in Buenos Aires. Something that I love about is breakfast since you can have it until lunch time is never crowd and everubody in in great mood.

The hotel acoustics was terrible. I could hear my neighbour watching TV all night. I had a meeting next morning and I had only slept four hours. The pipes/drains smelled like sewage.

Great little hotel, excellent location.
Modern, stylish, and affordable, this hotel adds great staff and a location that n Recoleto just of Avenida Santa Fe. Lots of fun restaurants nearby.

Hotel is in a central location
Only concern is that the Hotel charged us the Tax 21% ( Alicuota IVA), we hope that they will credited tax back to our credit card.

Great boutique hotel in perfect location
This is a great boutique hotel located in the part of Recoleta that is closest to many points of interest. We were able to walk everywhere and found that the hotel was placed very conveniently. The staff are super friendly and the quality of service was superb. I am definitely staying here again on my next trip to Buenos Aires!

Credit Card Security Risk
They hand write your full credit card information on a piece of paper for use if there are incidentals they need to charge after your departure. They pre-charge $300 so I do not understand why they need to write full credit card info. For me this is a very risky practice that can easily lead to credit card information getting stolen. I would not recommend this hotel.

Fabulous & Friendly Boutique Hotel
A wonderful boutique hotel, that we can't say enough great things about it. Within 24 hours of booking the hotel contacted me directly offering their assistance, and helped to make arrangements for a car service to pick us up at the airport. From the moment we arrived at Design CE -Hotel de Diseño we were treated like family, not just guests. Monica, the ever smiling always helpful bilingual front desk person, not only checked us in at 10am with no additional charge also offered us complimentary espresso, cake and juice while we filled out our forms. We originally planned to stay for only a few days and thought we would move to a different neighbourhood, but we liked the staff and the location so much we decided to extend our stay which also included late check out at no additional charge on the day we went home. The bed, (one of the reasons we chose this hotel from previous reviews), was VERY comfortable. A true King Size with excellent linen sheets and wonderful pillows. The bathroom was great, spacious for a boutique hotel and we loved the tub. After a day of exploring we would come relax in the tub with the jets on our feet. The water pressure for the shower was also excellent. Complimentary continental breakfast with fresh baked pastries & made to order coffee was offered daily, this enabled us to get to know the staff and bombard them with questions which everyone was always keen to answer and help with. We were even hugged by the staff when we left

Design CE Hotel: The Staff Are Its Best Asset
Hotel staff at boutique Design CE Hotel were very accommodating and friendly. WiFi was spotty. Breakfast was continental and limited, but just fine. The first assigned room was a front view, facing the park---sounds nice, but since on the second floor, one is in a fish bowl, so we asked for back room,view of inside buildings, but much quieter and no one peering in. Bathroom was decent size with rain shower. No closets, just small clothes rack in room and limited space to place luggage, 2 drawers. No English stations on the television. Next time would prefer to stay in hotel on east side of Blvd. Santa Fe, closer to Recoleta proper, this was on outskirts.
