Location was good, plenty of varied dining options in the immediate area and a short walk to the river Danube. The room was very clean on arrival and was cleaned every day, bathroom was quite small with a shower over the bath that you had to be careful with not to flood the room. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room had a small fridge which was suitable for maybe 4 small drinks. We did not use the kettle or coffee machine so not sure how they worked. Hotel felt a little dated in terms of the decor. We stayed their during the F1 weekend and the access to the transport options to get to the Hungaroring was perfect for what we needed for the early starts. Separate air con units worked perfectly well in each room.

The room was okay but had to keep curtains pulled as no view, bed was made daily. Staff were helpful in Reception and at Breakfast. Variety of breakfast things but no bacon, sausages etc. however the scrambled eggs were delicious! All in all The Medos was an okay hotel but if you want a touch of luxury this is not the hotel for you. Best thing was its location, near to everything.

Only 3 stars but it's a hidden gem in a great area close walking distance to anywhere and it's quiet at night. Great value for money I was in the superior double with a balcony view ideal for a drink at night or a coffee in the morning. Daily housekeeping for towels etc and the hotel is spotless and well maintained. Breakfast has a different variety every day youll always find something to eat it will I'm sure beat some higher rated hotels at a much better price you won't be disappointed

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a fantastic location. The view from the room balcony was amazing. My only suggestion would be to make the few steps in the lobby leading to the elevators easier to manage with luggage. There was a small slopped flat area beside the steps, but it was steep and almost impossible to pull up a suitcase. But other than that, it’s an excellent place to stay and when I return to Budapest, I will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!

I stayed in economy twin room for a few nights then moved to comfortable double room which was much nicer. The economy twin room doesn't have a proper curtain to block the light. You need to climb one level up after elevator. Every night you could hear drunken people screaming on the street. So try to stay away from that room type.

The location of the hotel is excellent for bars and restaurants, all transport within 100mt. The hotel itself is in good repair, the breakfast is excellent. We booked a comfort room which had a lack of plug outlets, and no brewing facility. Although reception have available.The room was compact.
