Perfect location

Perfect hotel in a great location right in centre. Staff were very polite and helpful, room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Super breakfast and complementary coffee available all day.

Wonderful Stay, Will Return

A wonderful stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly, buffet breakfast was filled with variety and facilities were good. Bathroom was slightly dated, but overall a comfortable stay in a great location near airport bus and in the city centre.

One night in BUD

Enjoyed a night at the Carat Boutique Hotel. The location is great for exploring the city. It is on a busy side street that appears to be popular among pedestrians after hours. Nice breakfast buffet in the covered interior courtyard. Would stay there again :-)

Nice hotel. Great location

Good hotel. Very central area close to metro and restaurants. My only complaint is that the breakfast was lacking especially for such a hotel. No selection of eggs, just mushy "scrambled " eggs. Fruits were very basic. A lot of sugary pastries though. Room was reasonably spacious. Bed was very comfy and the bathroom was not cramped. Generally, I would recommend this hotel particularly for it's good location

Beautiful boutique in a prime location!

The hotel was lovely. A modern boutiques hotel. Staff were great, and very helpful, both prior to and after arrival. Lovely rooms, very comfy beds. Breakfast was great, with a selection of hot and cold foods, toast, cereals and pastries. Unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffees available 24/7. Location is the best in the city. Everything from transport links, to major attractions, bars to restaurants and clubs, shops and massage parlours. Everything is on your door step!

Firstly - best location ! Close to all the spots in the Jewish Qtr of Budapest. The other pro is their breakfast - a huge variety of dishes and very tasty - so take the B B option for sure. However , they do advertise "air conditioning" and early October the cooling option in the air conditioning was not available. Opening the window facing the street was not a good solution because of the noise. The manager did compensate us for that. Otherwise - excellent hotel in down town Budapest

Knowing that we'd be visiting in the midst of summer, we specifically sought out hotels that offered air-conditioning. Carat Boutique was one of those hotels, but we should have known something was up when we walked in the room to find a lonely oscillating fan in the middle of our "air-conditioned" room. No matter how we adjusted it, our AC didn't want to push out air that was anything but marginally cooler than the 35 degree weather. We told the front desk multiple times, and they just insisted it "should be working" without checking or offering a replacement room. We spent two sweaty nights sleeping in our underwear on top of the sheets. Though it wasn't all bad (the location is excellent and the drink bar/breakfast amenities are also good) and our friends who came on the trip and stayed on other floors (we were on the top floor and thus getting the full brunt of the sun) said their rooms were much cooler, I'd suggest anybody thinking of traveling in summer either A) confirm their room is not on the top floor, or B) look elsewhere.
