Modern Fisherman's Cottage with Stunning Uninterrupted Views of the Moray Firth

  • This beautifully built modern property is directly opposite one of the best secluded sandy beaches in Findochty, and has stunning views of the Moray Firth. In the 1800's fishing was conducted from this natural inlet and this is also where the famous painting 'Home With The Tide' was painted by James Clarke Hook, which currently hangs in the Tate Gallery. The house provides the perfect place for relaxation and unwinding. Spend some time wandering through the historic fishing streets and walk along to the marina to watch it's creel and pleasure boats, then amble up to the cliff tops to take in the panoramic views or even a spot of dolphin watching! There are other beaches within easy walking distance and opportunities to be more active with cycling, golfing and sailing nearby.

The house was absolutely perfect for me as I was in area for the anniversary of my Sons death. The house left feeling a lot better than when I arrived. I finally managed to sleep. Absolutely fabulous few days in this cottage. Accommodation was just perfect, clean and very well equipt. location was perfect. Looking out onto a smalm bay, where we were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins passing by. The locals were so friendly and welcoming. Im just sad we had to leave so soon. We are hoping to co.e back for a bit longer in tbe summer.

I had a really perfect stay at the cottage. The property itself is well equipped and really homely and the location is just amazing. Watched the dolphins right from the house, saw amazing sunsets and dipped in the sea at the cove. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed.

Wonderful short break

We had a wonderful stay at the Hythe cottage, lots of beautiful beaches and woodland walks. The Admiral pub is fantastic and lets dogs in the bar and lounge. Thank you to the owners, the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable, we will be back.
