Get “Outta the Norm” in Bryson City, NC, Creekside

Outta the Norm, a Tiny home in the heart of the deep creek community, is the perfect retreat for Honeymooners, Hikers, Fisherman, couples or small families (4 person max) just looking to get away from the hectic city life. Close to downtown Bryson City, NC and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. There is a spacious back porch that overlooks the creek with a porch swing, 2 person table and grill. Cozy and Quaint!
350 sq foot Tiny Home with a Queen bedroom, full bath, kitchen, dining area and living room that has a queen sized sleeper sofa and recliner, and there is also a coffee nook. It is a quaint space with lots of character!

The outdoor space is the highlight! A large porch that opens to the yard that has concrete steps to our private creek access. Feel free to fish (with appropriate license) off the banks - but beware of the poison ivy!

There are NO linens provided, as there is not a washer/dryer on site. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels, etc. There is a laundry mat 5 miles away in downtown Bryson City.

We are located less than a mile from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National park, and a 5 minute drive to downtown Bryson City where you can catch the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. There are awesome local restaurants right downtown, with quaint shops. You will be less than a 20 minute drive to the Nantahala River where you can go on organized white water rafting trips! As well as plenty of hiking trails and waterfalls. If you would like to fish make sure to have the appropriate licenses to do so. And of course, coming to see the leaves change in the area is a MUST!

Peaceful Retreat

I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 days at this property. It is convenient to Bryson City, yet out of the traffic. I especially appreciated that the property is only one mile to some beautiful hiking in the Smoky Mountain National Park at the Deep Creek Trails.

Loved staying here. The house was very clean and neat. We had absolutely no ussues at all during the stay. It was wonderful getting to listen to the river while going to sleep. Absolutely amazing getaway. Very relaxing! Definitely would recommend!

We enjoyed the quiet, relaxing cabin. The creek was the best. So peaceful. Cabin is nothing fancy but it was just what me and my husband needed to reset ourselves. Everything worked great for us in the cabin too. Definitely would go back.

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay at Quit by the Creek! The tiny house was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The sound of the creek right outside made it feel so calm and private — the perfect spot to unwind. It’s close enough to Bryson City for easy trips into town but feels tucked away in nature. We loved sipping coffee on the porch in the morning and listening to the water in the evenings. The hosts were friendly and responsive, making check-in super easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet mountain escape!

This cozy spot was the perfect size for the two of us. We loved being right along the rushing creek, and enjoying it from the steps or the swing on the back porch. A quiet, relaxing stay!

Awesome!! Home was spotless with sweet touches and a porch swing to relax and listen to the cool Toot Hollow River! We watched river tubers and river otters play in the river. Singing in the Smokies was held at the Smoky Mtn. Event Park close by! Would LOVE to visit again!
