This hotel was disgusting. I visibly saw bed bugs on the beds. The area outside is not safe and you are told not to walk around at night. Will never stay anywhere near here again and I recommend you don’t either.

Not recommended

I booked this hotel due to an interruption in my travel plans, which left me stranded in Brussels. The room was old and in a very poor shape, with what appeared as cigarette burns on much of the furniture. The bed was old and uncomfortable. It was a hot night and the cheap ventilator did little to ease the heat. I have later contacted the hotel through Hotels.com, in order to get a receipt for my payment, but my emails have gone unanswered. Phone calls are directed to an answering machine that won't record messages. All in all one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.

El hotel está muy cerca del Gare du Midi. La zona en general es fea. Todo alrededor del GareDu Midi es feo y sucio. El hotel me pareció caro para lo que era. Lo usamos como hotel de una sola noche para tomar el tren al aeropuerto el siguiente día. Muy viejo con mala atención y más de 150 euros por una noche me pareció una exageración. Preferiría tomar un Uber de Gare du Midi hacia otra zona.

Problème de réservation. Avec le site. Donc arrivé devant l hôtel en famille avec un bébé, il n y avait pas de chambre réservée. On a dû aller ailleurs. Système de chat très lent avec le site hôtel. J ai signalé le problème. Discussion entamée puis plus rien... Pas de mails... Bref je doute que je prendrai encore des résa avec hôtels.com

Close to Brussels South railway station

The hotel is somewhat old, but reasonably clean. Maintenance was at least on par if not better as comparable locations in Brussels. If you are afraid of the smallest trace of mould, this place is not for you. The location is somewhat noisy, but that's what you get just a 5 minutes walk from the biggest railway station. Not a top hotel, but reasonable value for the money. I would go there again if I needed accommodation close to metro and railway.

The staffes are good,helpful.The location depends what you want.For us,the location was perfect as we visited 5 cities in Belgium by train.Hotel is 100 meters distance from Gare du Midi where the trains/buses arrive and go.And in Gare du Midi,there are many places to make breakfast and to eat even lunch/dinner.There are chocolate shops like Leonidas,Godiva,Neuhaus,etc... where you can buy it to bring to your country.And the distance to Grand Place ( Station of Bourse ) is only 3 stations.

Just a nasty place and in an area that felt unsafe for me traveling alone. Could barely sleep due to someone screaming upstairs at all times in the night 2/2 nights. Got a nasty bug bite while sleeping.

Stylish and spatious

We got a *very* spacious room with bathroom with bath tub. And with style. The interior wasn’t brand new, but well kept and clean and certainly OK. A very good value for our money.

Zimmer war recht klein, aber okay. Leider gab es nur kaltes wasser (duschen war ein härtetest). Etwas mehr Abwechslung beim frühstücksbufett wäre auch ganz sinnvoll. Ansonsten netter service und freundliche atmosphäre.

Terrible fleabag! Avoid this place!

Hotel Continental Gare du Midi is Best avoided. It was expensive and run-down, and on top of that I Got bedbugs because of poor cleaning and hygiene. I only stayed there as a last resort because all other hotels were booked, and I would not recommend it.
