Beautiful place! We loved staying in the old part with the history. Lovely view, nice pool, seating spaces. Definitely top notch. Definitely get reservations for dinner, we could not get into dinner .

There are always people who are not staying at the property using the pools and hot tubs. We pay extra to stay here to use these amenities. This time there were a lot of rude teenagers using the hot tub we were in. The last time we complained about unaccompanied minors to the fron desk, nothing was done about it. We had to tell them several Times not to splash and throw a football in the hot tub. This was met with disdain and aggression.

Beautiful, historic hotel on the beach. Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly. Room was nice and bathroom was large with fluffy towels. Weather was cool and rainy so we didn't get to enjoy the pools/hot tub but they looked very nice and inviting. Multiple local restaurants and shops within walking distance of the property.

We went for New Years weekend with family and friends. We’ve been to St. Simon’s Island many times but never stayed at The King and Prince. We all splurged and decided to treat ourselves. Pros: Our king suite was beautiful! The bed was extremely comfortable! We stayed on the second floor of the main hotel building and it was very nice and convenient. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The band they had for New Year’s Eve was awesome! Amazing views and access to the ocean! Cons: The lobby and bar areas were not consistently cleaned and there were used plates and glasses everywhere. The lobby bar was always extremely crowded and the wait for drinks was very long (even when it wasn’t New Year’s Eve, which was ridiculously long). We had dinner reservations at Echo at the hotel on New Year’s Eve for 6 at 8:15. We weren’t seated until 9:30 and it was 3 two person small round tables put together in the lobby area next to the computers. Our server was completely done by the time he got to us. The Cottage coffee shop on site was run by two disgruntled employees one day and only one on the other. Extremely long waits and unfriendly workers. Our family members had a room in the Oglethorpe building. They had a drain backup that got fixed but then the workers left hair and debris all over the tub with a sewer smell. Family had to call 3 times to get someone to come clean it. 6 hours later, someone showed up to clean. We definitely expected more from King & Prince!

Beautiful facilities with outstanding service. Right on the beach which was nice. Food was outstanding with the exception of the Christmas Brunch The food was cold, undercooked, and the cost was outrageous. Next Christmas trip we will skip the holiday brunch and simply eat in the Echo restaurant with the great food there. Loved this place!

The King and Prince Resort is a nice place to visit. You can walk to the beach, hang out at the pool and other things. My only complaint is the Echo restaurant. The first night we went to Echo and had the "Special" Prime Rib Dinner. The twice baked potato looked like it was left in the oven for a day. Although Prime Rib is supposed to be juicy and succulent, this was dry and over done. It looked like they seared the cut for way to long and then put it under the broiler to finish. The breakfasts were extremely salty and who charges $7.00 for 2 eggs as a side? We were there for a wedding and the steak that was the dinner was again extremely over cooked. So if you stay here, which is a nice resort, just plan on eating off-site for every meal and you will have a great time.

The resort was amazing. The view from our room, the service, the food, were all superb. The plumbing in our shower was not up to par and needs some work, otherwise the stay was awesome.

Think twice if you have mobility issues !
We both needed to avoid steps so we asked for the first floor . The front desk should have put us on the second floor, because at this rambling historic property, guests had to climb two sets of steps to get to the first floor !! Very unexpected and caused us some discomfort . An elevator takes guests comfortably to the Second floor . It’s a beautiful property but our discomfort (pain) could have been avoided.
