Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge Cabin - Suite B
An airy cabin with high ceilings and lots of windows surrounded front and back by the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge. A photographer's dream. See the native waterfowl, or the hundreds of migrating birds of the Eastern Flyway. Alligators, a large colony of endangered Wood Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, Painted Buntings, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, deer, turkeys. A perfect place to cool off and catch a nap between morning and evening photo sessions. Only ten minutes from I-95, Exit 67. Literally one minute from the public saltwater ramp, then 15 minutes boat ride to the Intracoastal Waterway, Blackbeard, St. Catherine's and Sapelo Islands, Atlantic Ocean and beaches. See dolphins every boating trip. Great fishing for flounder, trout, redfish, head offshore for the big stuff....King and Spanish Mackeral, Grouper, Barracuda. Private bedroom, Queen size bed, plus a big common room with fold out sofa, dinette table, kitchen with full size fridge, sink, microwave, large toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. Please note: while a convection oven and microwave are included, there is no full size oven or stovetop. The large screened in back porch (only) is shared with the other Suite. The Georgia coast is one of the most pristine natural areas on earth. Come see it for yourself ! (For some reason, some booking sites (Expedia, for one) describes this duplex unit as "Adult Only." This is not correct. Children are welcome, and children may occupy the separate rental space next door.) This is a completely private side of a duplex building, sharing only the rear porch. Please note pets are welcome, but NOT ON OUR BEDS, BEDDING OR FURNITURE, and with a $ 15 pet fee left as a tip for our cleaner !!

An absolutely lovely cabin nestled in the quiet of a nature preserve. This beautiful space was warm, welcoming, and impeccably clean, and our host was extremely responsive to all my questions. Highly recommend this property!
Nice, clean cabin, worked out well for our family traveling south thru Georgia. Beautiful natural park area surrounding area. Would like to stay again to see more of the fauna and wildlife in spring- fall.
Location, location, location! I wanted to explore the wildlife refuge and couldn't believe my luck, it's seriously across the street from this property.
This is a gem and I look forward to my next road trip to stay here again!
The duplex is very comfortable and clean, and the location can't be beat! I was there for a photography excursion, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I saw a variety of birds and an armadillo on the property, and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful location. It was so nice to be so close to the refuge!
The property was very clean and comfortable. The Old School Diner served great seafood. While the NWR (right across the street) was beautiful, the birds are seasonal, spring and summer.
This was a great place to stay especially if you have a bike and kayak. We drove and biked through the refuge and enjoyed it more on the bikes. We did a short kayak trip on Harris Neck Creek at high tide and it was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back!
We have stayed here multiple times and each time leave happy and satisfied! Our dog enjoys it as well! She has room to walk around outside and the open floor plan allows for us all to have the needed space. Peace, quiet and serenity would be the words used to describe our stay.
My two teenage sons and I took a week to go saltwater fishing around Sapelo Island . The boat ramp is less than a mile from the rental which is very quiet and plenty of yard space. Very cozy place for what we needed.
This is a terrific property and has been designed very nicely. We especially love the bathroom. Although there's no range/stove the convection oven/toaster worked just fine for what we needed (salmon, chicken thighs). Price is awesome and the area is absolutely beautiful. We will be back.
This Suite had everything we needed. Host provided plenty of local information. Quiet. Clean. The trees are beautiful. We were there to explore Harris Neck WMA. So the location was perfect. Nice screen porch but it was too cold to use!

We were greatly impressed! A wonderful accomadation, so close to the refuge that we were visiting. Our only problem--we couldn't get the toaster part of the toaster oven to work. we finally figured out how to use the broil part to broil our bread into toast.
This is a wonderful tabby cottage surrounded by the Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge; it has two suites, but there was no one else there when we were there. Live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Quick access on foot or by bike to the end of the refuge drive; the refuge has multiple hiking trails, including to a pool and fountain that are all that remains of a vacation home owned by one of the Lorillard tobacco heirs. Very comfy bed, updated bath. Easy access to coastal Georgia - don't miss the tour of Sapelo Island. No stove, but we did quite well with the toaster oven and microwave!
