Cute house and Very Clean. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Convenient location as we were working on my parent's house in the local area. Would definitely stay again when we are vacationing in the area.
Sandy was very patient with all my questions and the property was excellent! Clean and stocked with essentials. Would definitely recommend staying here!
The house was great extremely clean and comfortable very short ride to the trail, gas, and groceries and the garage to store our sleds in at night was a great bonus sandy was great. Will 100% stay there again
We enjoyed our stay and the home was very clean, comfy and cozy! This was our second time staying here and love the central location between Snow River, Powderhorn, and Porkies. Also having the grocery store just around the corner makes it very convenient for those couple of food items we forgot to pack. We will be back again!
Great place to stay! The garage would be really nice to use in the winter snowmobiling or working on anything really. It was nice to have dry wood available to have a bonfire. The house was very clean and neat with plenty of room to park a truck and trailer. Only thing you need to be aware of is that it is on the highway and you cannot legally ride a SxS the 1/8th of a mile to the trail per the county sheriff. We trailered to the co-op 1/4 mile down the road which was easy enough. Lots of people just roll the dice, but we didn't want to take any chances. Would definitely stay here again.
This was not the first stay at Sandy's home. Definitely won't be the last. Always super clean. Sandy is a great host. This home is perfectly located for our travels in the UP.
Sandy!! We cannot thank you enough for sharing your home with us for our “Waterfall Adventure”!! Your home’s accommodations were unmatched from the cleanliness, to the cozy decorations and extras you provided…the kiddos loved the fruit snacks and rice crispy treats! This location was perfect for exploring the west side waterfalls and beautiful scenery! We were able to visit 27 waterfalls during our 5 day stay! Thank you again for an incredible week of memories made!
We stayed at the house for one week with our 4 kids, ranging in ages 7-15. The house was very clean and bright. We had a fabulous time. The location is perfect with a gas station and grocery nice and close. Bruce Crossing was central to everything we wanted to do on vacation (Porcupine Mountains, Pictured Rocks Lakeshore, Keweenaw Peninsula). There are also a couple waterfalls with some hiking close by! If there’s anything I would add it would maybe be a air conditioned window unit upstairs but we made do. I would recommend this place to my family and friends and if we come back would stay again!
The house was clean warm and comfortable. Nice bedding and plush towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. The front and back porch area were nice to hang and store gear. There are 2 driveways that were well plowed out with room to easily park a truck and 30 ft trailer, a truck and 10 ft trailer and 7 snowmobiles. It snowed everyday and each day a tractor and loader came and removed the pile of snow left by the snowplow at the end of the driveway which was really great. Very close to trails, gas and groceries. Sandy was quick to respond to questions we had. Sandy set up and extra roll away bed for us and our family of 7 was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Penny House for your stay.
We used this property as a base camp while seeking out waterfalls in the U.P.. It served its purpose.
Clean and everything worked. The garage as an option seems nice but we never went in there as we had no need to.
All information was provided through email and no issues came up that we needed to contact property management/owners.
The shower is a bit small but I’m a big guy at 6’1 250+ lbs and I was able to fit. My kids had no issues either. I am happy the way everything worked out and anything I didn’t get accomplished is on me.
Went way better than our last trip up North.
Host was very attentive to our needs and checked in to ensure everything was going well. House is in a great location and just as described. Will look to stay here again.
