We love coming to Brownfield for our annual ladies weekend. The house is exceptionally clean and convenient to North Conway for shopping and ice cream field trips.
We had great weather, and did a lot of shopping in the area. Also enjoyed a few nights around the fire pit. Everyone enjoyed being together. Our 18 month old great grandson also enjoyed the pond and sand.Several of us also used your trails to walk. Fishing not so great.
Our family and two other family's stay here for our annual trip. We live going to storyland on the first day then relaxing on the beach the rest of the week. It's calm and quiet and the perfect get away.
We love staying at this property every summer as a family. Linda is a wonderful hostess, the property and house are very well maintained, and we always enjoy our time on the beach and exploring the hiking paths - even when it rains!
Nice, secluded spot for a friend/family getaway. Everything we could possibly need, including firewood! Everyone in our group of 10 had a bed to sleep on. Private pond and covered picnic area was great for the kids, even when the weather wasn't warm and sunny. We had a wonderful stay!
We were three families with kids (6) who had a wonderful 3 days over the New Year. The house is clean and has everything we needed. Although we were a large group, there was enough place for everyone both in common areas and bedrooms. The winter lake views are stunning and there were plenty of options for winter hiking. Also there is a ski resort within 15 minutes drive. We definitely would love to visit again!
Our second time staying and it was just as amazing as the first! The only bummer was how cold the water was because of the weather this year - but we still spent plenty of time on the beach, in our kayaks and fishing. The worst part was having to leave!
We had a wonderful stay! The first thing I always look for is cleanliness and this was a 5! Very clean! Nice quiet vacation. The weather was not the best but the little ones enjoyed playing down by the beach and taking hikes in the woods nearby. Linda, the owner called and stopped by to ask us if we needed anything! She was lovely… it was a very peaceful vacation! Mary Ann and Michael
The property is amazing and the house is immaculate. Everything you need to be comfortable is available. Love watching the daily deer migration across the back of the property. Thank you Vin and Lin for another great weekend!
We had a lovely time reconnecting with nature in Brownfield. Minimal cell phone service (but good wifi) allowed us to really disconnect. We loved having a fire each night by the pond. We drove to Lovewell pond for fishing and tubed on the Saco. The pond on property wasn’t the best for fishing/swimming. However, we found a little swim spot on Shepard’s River on the property about a 10 minute walk away! House was spacious - could use a little updating with living room furniture and beds. Wish we brought a box fan to use in the bedroom window at night as you can’t control the AC. Overall a great place to stay!
The home is like less 10 minutes from the border of New Hampshire. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, lots of trails to walk & pond. The house has all the amenities to include ac, dishwasher, washer & two dryers. The kids had fun swimming at the beach area & jumping off the swimming platforms. Very nice pavilion next to the beach with picnic tables & lights with fire pit adjacent to. Overall, an awesome place to stay. Its nice & quiet in a country setting. You are about 3.5 hours to acadia, 1 hour to Portland, and 2.5 hrs to Salem. Only 2 things i would like to note: pond does have leeches, just beware, still go swim and the bed mattresses are spring and if you have a bad back or are older, you may be stiff in the morning.
My partner and I held our wedding ceremony and reception on this property and it was absolutely beautiful! The price was very affordable and the scenery was absolutely stunning for our small ceremony. Linda was a wonderful host and very flexible with us and our group as we navigated the planning and pre-wedding craziness as well as arrival/set up that weekend! The house was spotless and easily fit our overnight wedding party of 12 with plenty of room to spare. We had another day and a half to enjoy the property after the wedding day and it was exactly the vibe of relaxation we were hoping for! The only reason I had a difficult time rating our experience the full 5 stars is only because of a couple of confusing encounters with the property manager (not the owner!). While these didn't ruin our time here by any means, it left us a bit confused as to some of the house rules/requirements and we left feeling as though we were more of an inconvenience to this person rather than a wanted guest. Its worth mentioning, however, that this may have just been someone having a tough day or some issue of miscommunication. While it was a little awkward, it did not ruin our overall experience. Ultimately, we had a wonderful stay and great experiences with the owner, Linda, and her husband and would definitely book another stay here in the future!
This place is perfect. So beautiful and very clean. We had a great time, and look forward to booking again. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a great hotel lace to relax.
We had a wonderful week. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and the kids enjoyed exploring the pond. They found turtles and frogs. The house comfortably slept the 10 of us, and if we had questions the host was very quick to respond. We really appreciated how private and quiet the area was.
