The man who checked us in was militant. We are elderly and from the Midwest. We are farmers. Honest people. This guy accused my husband who was fumbling around getting his credit card out of throwing it at him. It was just ridiculous. My husband was nervous and smiled instead of arguing back. The man said, Why are you smiling? You think this is funny?” I was so scared. We went right up the elevator. We have never been spoken to like this before. The man also stunk up the lobby with intense weed smell. It was a horrible and unwelcome experience.

I was overcharged by nearly two times. Emails and calls to the hotel are either ignored or I have been very rudely treated. I have had to dispute the duplicate charge through my bank. I have been hung up on, yelled at, gaslit and ignored. Was told I paid through Expedia which I did not do. I gave them my credit card at check in and they double charged me upon checkout. I have never seen anything like it. Too bad, hotel is actually nice-ish and I would have stayed there every trip back to Brooklyn which is often. Oh, and getting fresh towels, coffee or any service is a crap shoot. We stayed four nights and I had to go down to the front desk for coffee twice.
