The Jolly Roger Cabin is a luxury family cabin located in the Pine Hill West subdivision of Hochatown, Oklahoma near Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park. This spacious retreat offers nearly 2,900 square feet of living space and is designed for families and large groups visiting McCurtain County.

The cabin features four king bedrooms and a large bunkroom with two queen beds and two twin bunks, providing plenty of room for everyone. The open concept living room features vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a beautiful stone fireplace.

The fully equipped chef’s kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a commercial refrigerator, and plenty of space for preparing meals. Guests can gather around the large dining table or kitchen island to share meals together.

Inside the cabin you’ll also find a retro arcade with more than 60 games and a shuffleboard table for family friendly competition.

Outside, guests can relax on the double decks overlooking the forest, soak in the hot tub, enjoy the fire pit, or play outdoor games like horseshoes and cornhole.

We Had a Great Time

The Jolly Roger had plenty of space for our family trip. The kids especially loved the back yard and the adults loved the porch and being able to relax. The location is right in the middle of Hochatown and its a quick drive to wherever you need to go. Would definitely recommend to large groups in the future.

Family Christmas

We had an amazing time. There were 14 in our group ages 4 to 53. We all had a great time. The cabin was plenty big for all of us to gather together for gifts, games and mealntime. The amenities were above our expectations. The communication with property manager was best I've ever experienced, quick to respond and very professional. We will definitely be going back in the summer.

Great family cabin!

The pirate ship playground was a major hit with all of the kiddos! We stayed with extended family to celebrate my youngest a first birthday! The cabin met all of our expectations! There was plenty of room and activities outside for everyone, kids and adults! The inside was very clean with plenty of room. Well equipped kitchen. They provided plenty of toilet paper which isn’t always the case with some VRBOs. Absolutely no complaints! It was a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Smooth sailing at the Jolly Roger

Our large family of 15, ranging in ages 2-77, rented the Jolly Roger for 5 days in November. The layout of the home is perfect for our group. We ate every meal there, including a Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen is well-equipped, but we brought in all casserole-style dishes in foil containers along with extra paper supplies. The commercial sized refrigerator was perfect for all that food! The grandkids, ages 2-15, loved playing on the pirate ship. The children ages 30-44 played numerous games on the large dining table. The hot tub was a big hit during the cool days. We spent one afternoon at Beaver’s Bend state park picnicking and hiking. It is an easy drive and a beautiful park. We asked the rental staff for help on a special activity and they connected us quickly to the right person. I am very pleased with their information and service.

Great Family Get Away Except…

Great property and my grandkids had a blast. Only drawback is the roads to the property. If you don’t have at least a mid-size SUV, don’t do it. I have a 4x4 GMC pickup and it was the worst off-road experience I’ve put my truck through. Small or compact car; forget it.

Family getaway

There were a few things broken in the house but nothing major or caused any problems. The property was great but the roads to the cabin are terrible. We had a really great time and I would book there again and just hope they do something to the roads by then!

Pirates for 2025

Kids had an absolute blast. Loved the ship, spa, swingset, fire pit, everything outdoors. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Roads had terrible pot holes that could be an issue for a small car, but being at the back of the area we didn't have all the dust the homes at the front had to endure and that was a huge plus with kids an adults wanting to be outside. Beds and some furniture needed updating as the beds leaned and a few chairs were broken. Water in showers were great and plenty of towels and supplies. Light in upstairs bunk room needs work, was very dark in room other than natural light. Kids give it a 10 out of 10. 9.999 for the adults. Would definitely stay again.

The home was immaculate, the layout was great for our group (6 adults, 4 kids 5yrs and under). The outdoor play area was on the backside, away from the street and secluded from other homes. Property management was responsive and accommodating. There were maintenance items such as some worn furniture, cracked outdoor chairs, wear and tear on the playground equipment, broken shade in one of the restrooms (we taped walmart bags to the window :), leaky faucet, etc). None of these kept the home from being functional or detracted greatly from our stay, just a little disappointing given the price point. We provided management with a list of items upon checkout and hopefully they will be addressed for future guests. With all that said, we would definitely stay here again. Plenty of parking, large living spaces, good location, spotless/clean property and great outdoor area outweighed any issues.

Stay was good. There were a couple of things we saw and would suggest to get fixed. Grind down the small stump in the front yard. My wife was backing out at night and didn't see it. Toilet in the primary bathroom was wobbly. Replace strands of lights in back. It made it hard for the kids to play at night when it gets dark so quick. The last foot board on the front stair seemed like it is about to break and unsupported. Get Direct TV for local channels to watch football for those that don't have a subscription to streaming channels. Thanks again!

This is our third visit to broken bow and we usually have an amazing time. The Jolly Ranger is a spacious and beautiful property but definitely left us disappointed. Upon arrival the cleaning crew was still there, past the check in time, and rudely told us that they were still cleaning and shut the door. Once we entered, we noticed the cabin was not cleaned good as dishes were dirty we did not have any cleaning towels or supplies not enough towels in the restroom several tv’s were not working one microwave did not work and the other was dirty No dustpan for the broom The trash bins outside were completely full and we had no place to throw our trash Although we made the best of our holiday family time it was quite disappointing that The Jolly Ranger cabin was not in better condition. Definitely would not book again or recommend.

"Best Vacation Ever and We Should Come Back Next Year!"

The title of this review came straight out of the mouth of our 6-year-old granddaughter, followed by a chorus of "Yes!" from her younger cousins, except for 10-month-old Leo, but he grinned! The property was perfect for our family weekend - 4 bedrooms with king-sized beds, each with a bath, plus a bunk room for the kids. They are 6, 5, 5,4, and 10 months. The house is lovely, with plenty of spots for hanging out, including a partly enclosed patio space with a fireplace and big-screen TV. Of course, the fire pit outside, the big kitchen, the playground gave us space for everyone in any combination. We loved our welcome gift bag, and the littles especially enjoyed the popcorn and s'mores; the adults enjoyed the wine even more. The big hit was the pirate ship/playground. It was mostly cloudy, some sprinkles, and chilly while we were there, but it bothered none of them in the least. We staged our Christmas card picture there, in full Halloween costumes, with Santa hats and pirate eye patches, swords, and hats. Should be the hit of the season. This house is the things dreams are made of for a family group like ours, and it's the best stay in Broken Bow we've ever had. Thanks Creative Escapes! We love you!

Overall it was a great stay for the amount of family. We encountered some problems with the stay. The air conditioning system on the downstairs level was not cooling. Maintanance responded however it was not working. Set temperature to 72 only maintained 75. The indoor fireplace and one on the porch were inoperable. The unit was not very clean. The roads were very dusty and access of the neighborhood was confusing and the roads were very rough. Some oi f the lights in the upstairs bathroom were inoperable. The unit did not have a can opener.

Fantastic house!

We had so much fun at this house! The pirate ship was such a hit- our kids had a blast playing pirates! The house is large and perfect for multiple couples and lots of kids. The kitchen is great for cooking for large groups (add a cookie sheet and a can opener). The location was perfect- 15 minutes or less from the places we wanted to go like the marina and the stables. The house was so clean and well appointed with detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, etc. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here!!

Family Weekend

This was a beautiful home that was spacious and clean. Ton of bedrooms and bathrooms, it never felt crowded. Never any time to be bored as there were tvs in all the rooms, fire pit, jacuzzi, games. The large playground was fantastic and used by all the kids. They even had games like Cornhole available too. Felt very big and very clean. Our family loved it! We would stay here again.

Long weekend with family

We had a long weekend with our family here at the Jolly Roger. It was perfect. We could not have asked for a better place for the kids ranging in ages from 8 to 2. The backyard is awsome. They had a blast. The house was great and easily accommodated our group of 15. Would definitely stay here again.
