"I stayed at the Benson a few months ago for a business trip. When I returned to Portland for another business trip, I brought 5 of my colleagues to stay because I liked it so much! Nothing beats the old-world charm and new renovations keep the historic feel while being modern and clean. The waiters in the Palm Court restaurant are now my friends and will make your stay and meal that much better! "

"A lovely stay. My room was very nice and I enjoyed the breakfast which, although busy, had lots of room to sit and eat. The General Manager was a really nice chap when I had a request about laundry, and Dan on the front desk was a dude, really friendly and helpful. The in-house Japanese bar-restaurant was also excellent. Highly recommend. The pool was fun and for Portland the area was nice enough, although to be honest I didn't feel particularly safe anywhere in that city."

"This is a very nice, classy yet funky boutique hotel in the downtown area. Our room was very big with a large sitting area. The price was very reasonable. The parking is a bit expensive but I’m sure it’s about the same at most of the downtown hotels. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"The location allows you to walk to the water front, the weather machine, we were able to take in the Saturday market. I highly recommend this. The staff are awesome. The wine and music on Fridays and Saturdays was excellent."

"In you are staying for 2 nights your room is not cleaned every day. Definitely get the valet parking as it’s very hard to find parking"
