"Right across the river from the Musée de la Bande Dessinée! Requires a bit of an uphill hike to get to the center of town but there are also easy nearby bus stops to take you there. Service was fantastic, breakfast was tasty and the hotel is pretty neat. No AC though. "

"Hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Das Haus ist wunderschön und komplett ausgestattet. Auch ein schöner Swimmingpool mit großem Garten. In der wunderschönen Umgebung gibt es viel zu unternehmen. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für jeden sehr zu empfehlen!"

"Monica and Warren are great hosts and met us at the property to go through everything with us. The house is charming and tastefully renovated. There is a bit of local traffic noise but other than that a great location in the village. We would stay there again!"

"Magnifique maison située dans un village charmant très calme. Le logement est très grand et très bien équipé. Nous n'avons pas profité du jardin, mais tout est bien entretenu. Literie confortable. Cuisine bien équipée."

"Nous avons passé une semaine agréable et au calme ! Bien située pour les visites au nord Périgord et le sud Charente. La cour est très pratique et bien close, nos chiens étaient avec nous. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques."

"Dommage pour les mouches qui nous ont empêche de manger dehors. Notre hôte ne parle pas français ce qui n'a pas facilité les échanges. Sinon très bien !"

"A comfortable and convenient hotel with pleasant staff and good facilities including secure parking. The bistro style dining was excellent and we took the smaller breakfast option which was great too. The central location is perfect, right in the heart of the old hilltop town with many historic buildings and great views. "

"Nice hotel in Angouleme. Had a little difficulty finding it at night since not familiar with area. Had after hours check in which went well, although gate for accessing parking area was not automatic but manual. Hotel is new in an older building, but that adds to its charm and has all the modern amenities (including A/C, which not all hotels have in the area). The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but was small like most French hotel rooms. Enjoyed our one night stay and would stay here again if we are in the area. "

"This is our second time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian. The first time was so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great. This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place!"
