"Great stay at Danette's house in Cherokee. House was very clean and well stocked. Checkin and checkout was a breeze, easiset we have ever had with a house rental. A/C worked well, beds were comfortable and Danette was quick with replies when we messaged. Location in fantastic, just a couple minute walk to the Long Dock and Cherokee Sound. Sunsets are amazing at the dock and kayaking around Cherokee sound was great. The community of Cherokee is quiet, low-key and welcoming. The Cherokee Food Fair is well stocked with grocery items and the gas station at the boat harbor is also stocked with fresh fish and bait if needed. Overall a fantastic stay to get away from it all."

"This was our 5th stay at Captain's View for a couple of men chasing bonefish in the Bahamas. That should tell you alot right there. It's a very comfortable and functional house with good air conditioning. The view from the front porch is exceptional in my opinion. The Long Dock out front is a fantastic local attraction. Cherokee is a nice quiet little town with a couple of stores. Glenn, the owner, does a great job keeping the house in shape. The bathroom has been recently remodeled. It's a nice clean house on a nice lot and is beautifully decorated with a vary of local art pieces. Looking forward to my next trip there!"

"The room was great but we had accidentally booked for the wrong month. We booked the right month and spoke to the lady at check in - she assured us that they had received our request to get a refund. After that I heard nothing except that Hotels.com had tried to contact them about this and heard nothing back - so too bad. We are out a lot of money (yes, I know it was non-refundable) but in this circumstance it’s pretty obvious that it’s an honest mistake and the had another month to rebook the room and we did book another night with them in lieu of it on the correct date. Very disappointed."

"We had a fantastic trip, the hotel was very convenient. The staff was amazing and the shuttle wasn’t difficult to plan around. They make it very accommodating for whatever you may have going on. Will definitely be back!"

"The very best spot with a breathtaking view. We felt we had the whole beach to ourselves with beautiful warm calm waters. The caretakers John and Carol were wonderful! Loved our stay and will be back."

"This home is in a great location and is wonderful for large groups. The owner and caretakers are easily reachable, very helpful, and accommodating. The home is clean with 2 living areas, plenty of table seating, and stocked with all necessities. Boat docks are conveniently located. There would only be 2 suggestions…there are no mirrors in 2 of the bathrooms and no tv’s in bedrooms, other than the master. We were in the house for a day due to weather and more than one tv would have been a plus. However, most of the time you are busy and not there to stay in to watch tv. These were minor issues and we will definitely stay again!! It was a wonderful family trip!"
