"Andre and Nicholas are amazing hosts, the room(s) - we stayed on two occasions, on our way to our friends and on the way back- are exquisitely furnished, excellent facilities, superb breakfasts and just a truly amazing place to be. "Astrid was a great host and did everything possible to help us relax. It’s such a beautiful property and gardens (we lounged around drinking wine in the evening), with all the quiet we needed to get away, yet close enough to pretty towns and villages for exploring. Astrid is a great cook, I recommend you book her to prepare your dinner (using locally sourced and foraged ingredients) at least one evening. Thank you!"

"Had a lovely stay in Cesar's Cottage in Balines. Property was clean and tidy.. Kids loved the pool all the space outdoors. Only a short drive to local shops. Cottage is located in a beautiful spot in the countryside. we fitted in day trips to Paris and Le Mans."

"Booked as a stopover, I chose this hotel because it had a restaurant. Was very disappointed to discover that the restaurant was not open at weekends. There are chain restaurants about 1/2 an hour's walk away. The room was clean and comfortable, with a small ensuite wet room cubicle. It was very noisy, and I was woken several times in the night by noise from neighbouring rooms and the corridor outside the room. I would not choose this hotel again."
