Owner was very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet. Breakfast at 8 euro was tasty and plentiful. Really handy as a stopover for the ferry and the area is full of nice places to visit within a 20 minute drive which often get overlooked because people go straight past on their way south

Stay overnight in a great little hotel .........
The hotel is delightful. We were welcomed by the owner and Ruby the dog. Tourist info of the town offered. Our room was small but spotlessly clean overlooking street which was reasonably quiet even though we had the window open all night. It was Saturday night and all revelry ended before 23:30, so no problem. Slept well - bed comfortable Bathroom had a shower cubicle - water pressure constant and easy to control and was the temperature. TV had multi-language channels - English was BBC1, BBC2 and Cbeebies - good reception and sound. We asked for an early breakfast as we were catching the 09:45 Roscoff/Plymouth ferry. It was served promptly at 07:00 in a room just off reception. Fresh croissant and bread, butter and two jams and orange juice. There was also a selection of cereals and other spreads on a separate table, together with some fruit and yogurts. All self-service and eat as much as you want. Hot drinks were offered - coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Good quality coffee served as requested - I had cafe creme. All in all a good choice of hotel at a reasonable price. I would certainly recommend it and stay there again on my next trip to Brittany.

Nice quiet hotel VERY close to town centre.
Very nice boutique style hotel within easy walking (5 to 7 Mins)distance from multiple restaurants, shops, supermarket, street market. Very quiet picturesque narrow street. Parking in courtyard attached. Really friendly and helpful propieter. The past is ever present in this 17th century town.. Gorgeous beach just 15 mins by car. Very good breakfast in hotel.

Lovely hotel in one of the small town centre streets, car park a huge bonus. Used as a night stay before early morning ferry. Restaurants very close. Very friendly staff who found the earrings I left behind! Will definitely use again as it is so handy for ferry crossings.

Great base for touring.
Everything was great. Samuel and his wife were so welcoming and went out of their way to book restaurants for us and provide directions. This was our second stay at Hotel du Chevalier Blanc and will not be our last.

Friendly hotel with free parking
While only having stayed at Cheval Blanc for 1 night as we road-tripped through Brittany we nonetheless had a comfortable stay. Hotel owner was very friendly and helpful in recommending a few retaurants to eat at in town. Room was clean and basic but suited our needs. Small parking lot is on site behind the hotel...just follow the signs and make the tight turn into the lot. Did not do the breakfast. Would stay again.

I was travelling alone so the room was adequate. The people running the hotel were very friendly and helpful and accommadating. It is near the Tourist information office and the Super Market is a five minute walk away. The position of hotel is close to centre of town so close to my travel requirement using the bus service to Roscoff and Morlaix.

Great for short stay
Stayed overnight before catching ferry to UK. The hotel was easy to find, right in the town and had lots of parking. The room was spotless and the owner very helpful. Breakfast next day after a quiet nights sleep was lovely. Fresh bread, croissants with homemade jams, Breton cake and more. Will most certainly return!

My husband is in a wheelchair, the bathroom was HUGE access into the hotel was via the fire door, down a slope and straight into the room. So no problems at all. We were late for breakfast due to still being on English time, but there was no problem, the owners were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The town was beautiful, but beware we arrived just after 9 pm and the restaurants had finished serving. We had a kebab! Would definitely stay at The Hotel du Cheval Blanc again/

Lovely hotel
A grreat hotel in the town center. Clean, bright, comfy and well looked after. Perfect for exploring the town and surrounding area ( get the walks leflets from the tourist office). Everything I expect in a hotel in this price range. Only disapointment as an Englishman is the lack of a kettle, so no way to have a cup of tea in the afternoon. Quite a lack in a place that will have a high number of English guests.

Very friendly hotel and for those who may have limited knowledge of French speak English. Lovelly location in the town of St Pol de Leon, safe parking, especially if you are on motorbikes and just a short walk to some delightful restaurants. We have only used the hotel for overnight stops after docking or getting an early ferry, but would certainly book longer if we were staying in that part of Brittany.

Ideally placed for ferry.
We used this hotel as an overnight stay before an early ferry from Roscoff to Plymouth following a holiday in Spain. It is situated in the middle of the town with off road parking. The hotel owner could not have been more friendly and helpful and suggested 3 or 4 restaurants for our evening meal which were 50-100 metres away. We would certainly stay at this hotel again and it would be a good base in which to explore Brittany.

The Hotel du Cheval Blanc in St Pol de Leon
We found this hotel particularly clean and fresh - spotless in fact, although the room itself though adequate was quite small for a stay of several days. Maybe they could have kept a bit more of the room and made the bathroom a bit smaller when making it en suite? The manager (owner?) was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very substantial with cereals and plenty of fresh fruit along with the usual continental breakfast, it was very peaceful and quiet and we would certainly recommend it to other people. We will return whenever we get back to St Pol de Leon.

We arrived quite late from the ferry plus coping with a detour, and were warmly greeted by Isabel the owner.my husband had been ill and was quite weak so she carried our bags up to the second floor room. Isabel spoke very good English and the Hotel was all that was promised No hesitation in recommending this Hotel.

We arrived late at night. We were welcomed by the proprietress and shown to our room. It was very clean and tidy with an en suite shower. In the morning we had a well presented breakfast and a chat with the proprietress. It was all very friendly. I would recommend it to anyone who is likely to go to this area of France.

"Cleanest hotel room I have EVER had!"
Quite simply, this was the cleanest, most efficient, friendliest little hotel I have ever stayed in. Our double room wasn't large, and it had only a shower rather than a full bath, but it was large enough and was well-equipped, and was SPOTLESSLY clean. I took my own hairdryer, but I think you would only have to ask and anything like that would be supplied. The rooms seemed to be well-insulated, and I heard NO noise from any other room, although the entire place was "full up" for some of the nights we were there. The hotel location, and wonderful secure parking area, is SO central that everything --- cathedral, tower, restaurants, shops -- is within a five-minute walk. The continental breakfast, more generous than that found in many of the local cafes and for exactly the same price or less, ensured that we opted to have the hotel breakfast every day. Many of the sites we drove out to during our week-long stay in Finisterre were at the thoughtful recommendation of the proprietor, who knew the fine line between being very friendly and being too pushy or in-your-face. In fact, she was someone I would like to have as a personal friend, and I'm just sorry that we're not living in the even the same country! I have stayed in more luxurious accommodations in my life, but I've never been more pleased; in so many ways it exceeded my expectations, and I would HIGHLY recommend it.....but book early, or you may miss out on this one.
