Family Getaway
What was suppose to be our Family Spring Break Trip ended up being a flop. The weather decided it was going to be cold and snowy, so most outdoor attractions were still closed. We did get to see a few shows and do a little shopping. The villa was nice and spacious and had most everything we would need. My only complaint is my kids wanted to go to the pool on our last night and I did not want to stay with them. They had my 17 yr old listed as an adult on our reservation, but upon entering the pool I was told anyone under 14 had to be supervised by an adult 18 or older. Mind you he is a CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD at the Great Wolf Lodge and watches people( at least 100+ from infants to the elderly) in water everyday! I didn't see a problem with him watching his 7yr old sister just one child for a few hours. The Lady at front desk did not care and there was not a manager on duty to speak with. I think as a parent that should be my call to make. I understand they have policies but if a waterpark can allow 16yr old to be certified lifeguards then I should be able to allow my 17yr Certified Lifeguard son to take his sister to the pool without a parent being present!!!
