"Visited Marstrand for a family wedding. Stayed at Havshotel Marstrand. Great hotel with a really nice bar area overlooking the harbour. Close to the ferry and plenty of parking however there is a daily charge. The room was very small considering we booked for two adults and one child however the staff were excellent and very helpful. "Liked that we had a spacious suite with a terrace. However, property on the whole was quite dated. Room had a damp smell and we had to ask staff to empty the fridge, as it was full of someone else's food including half a packet of smelly meatballs. Breakfast options fairly limited and coffee cold - they did have a gluten free roll for me on request but no other gluten free options."

"Excellent Breakfast. Many choices including hot and cold food and Swedish specialities. Definitely worth the price. Lovely staff, very helpful and patient, fluent in English. There is a very organised, self-service luggage storage that is free of charge. The window in my room is quite big but cannot be opened, so not great ventilation. The room is clean but given the price I'm paying, I'd say this is mostly expected. "
