The best area to stay in Brajkovići is the village itself, or the nearby, slightly larger village of Rovinj.

Brajkovići is a small, quiet village known for its traditional Istrian stone houses and peaceful rural setting. It's surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, offering a truly relaxing escape. The pace of life here is slow, superb for unwinding. You'll find a few local tavernas offering regional cuisine, and it's well-located for exploring the wider Istrian peninsula by car.

Couples looking for a tranquil and romantic getaway will find Brajkovići ideal. It provides a secluded base for enjoying the natural beauty of Istria, with opportunities for scenic walks and enjoying local food and wine in a calm environment. The privacy and quietness of the village make it a wonderful spot for spending quality time together.

For those who prefer to be closer to coastal attractions and have more dining and entertainment options, Rovinj is an excellent choice. This picturesque coastal town, a short drive from Brajkovići, features a charming old town built on a peninsula, with narrow cobbled streets leading up to the Church of St. Euphemia. It offers a wider selection of restaurants, shops, and beaches, as well as boat trips to nearby islands.

Families often find Rovinj particularly appealing. It offers beautiful beaches with clear waters, suitable for swimming and water sports, and the old town provides plenty of opportunities for exploring and enjoying gelaterias.

The best time to visit Brajkovići is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures superb for exploring, but without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the Istrian countryside at its most beautiful, with lush greenery and blooming wildflowers in spring, and the start of the olive and grape harvests in autumn. This period is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities like cycling or hiking, as well as for food and wine enthusiasts looking to experience local traditions.

For those planning a family holiday focused on enjoying the coast and water activities, July and August are also excellent, despite being the busiest months. The sea temperatures are at their warmest, making it superb for swimming and spending time on the beaches.
