Spacious and spotless room, high-end toiletries, extremely courteous staff, great balcony on the fourth floor to chill and a truly world-class restaurant. All at competitive prices. Do highly recommend and will only book at Golden Retreat for my next Puri visit. "

"The experience was well below standard, and certainly not what we expected from a chain of this reputation. The behavior of the staff was poor — at the reception we were rudely told that check out will have to be at 8am(!). To make things worse, they called us at 7am, waking us up in deep sleep, to say that we have to vacate the room at 8am. At the restaurant, a man called Surya had terrible behavior - first making us wait for no reason, talking to us in what we now took to be customary rude behavior, then serving us cold tea, and then promising to serve warm tea at our table, only to call us to come collect our own tea from him as if he was doing us a massive favor. Safe to say I’ll never be staying at this hotel ever again, even though I’m a regular visitor to Puri. Avoid at all costs - there are many other better alternatives."

"Carpet was super dirty, blanket had stain, no room services next day, front desk was very rude. Wasn’t worth it, nothing they showed in pictures . I wouldn’t recommend anyone again. "
