A few more tid-bits... :)
1. Trained service animals are welcome! Otherwise, we have a strict "no pets" policy. We can help arrange lodging for your pets (as long as they are up to date on shot records which must be provided) at a local boarding facility during your stay, if you'd like; just give us a call...way in advance, as they fill up fast!
2. The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.
3. Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.(make sure to bring your bumpers!).
4. Culverts & Bridges: Be sure to lower your Bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts. Appearances can be deceiving!
5. Security Camera Disclosure: We take your privacy very seriously. However, this home is monitored by exterior security cameras. Cameras are located in the following areas: One exterior, motion activated Ring camera which covers our driveway and parking area only in order to confirm visitors and deliveries

Great 2 story dock - wish it was sunnier in the afternoon!
great water gear, 2 sup and 2 kayaks. everythign was easy to access. and LAUNDRY, cominng from Asheville this was a great feature.
Communication was a little slow to confirm any needs for the property, but that was most likely due to the influx of renters with hurricane helene. Was glad to have a place to take a needed respite from no water, no power, no internet.
Place was clean and lovely and well stocked. There are in fact 2 fridges, with one in the downstairs. :D
There were 16 of us, ranging in age from 1-74 and everyone had a great time. The house had plenty of room, was located on a quiet cove where kids could swim, paddle board, fish and lounge. Great decks for gathering. We loved it!

The lake view and property itself was beautiful. No issues with our stay just a few housekeeping items that are noteworthy. We had to make up our own beds when we arrived which I felt was unacceptable (about 13 beds). The owners left clean bedding and towels on each bed. There were a lot of cobb webs and some crawling bugs upon our arrival- It felt like no one had stayed there in a while and the house should have been sprayed in advance. The owners did respond about that when I messaged them. Other times that I reached out, I didn’t get a timely response or no response. Pots and pans were almost unusable. The house is beautiful but the layout is not ideal. The only common bathroom was in the basement and it didn’t include a shower. So on all levels, you had to go in someone’s bedroom to use the bathroom or shower. All in all, we had a great stay. I just feel like there should have be a little more cleaning of the property prior to guest arrival. I just wanted to make a note for the owners in ways to improve for their future guests.
