The ski access couldn't be any better sitting directly on Hilda’s Hideaway run. Ski any run left from Hilda’s hideaway to Alpine lift, ski any run right from Hilda’s Hideaway to Disciples D8 lift which also runs at night. Direct access to D8 lift is important as Alpine Lift isn’t always running. In the spring summer and fall, the Hilda’s Hideaway ski run is a paved road that is a part of Boyne Mountain Resort’s 7 miles of paved golf cart, biking and walking paths. The mountain bike bath is a few feet away. A short walk up the hill past 4 homes takes you to where the new D8 lift drops off, the new 1200ft SkyBridge, a food truck, restrooms, and Alpine Golf Course’s 1st tee. A short walk across the bridge, or a short walk around to the other peak takes you to the disk golf course hole 1st tee, the Eagle’s Nest mountain top restaurant. The Hemlock lift typically runs year round down to the main village giving access to restaurants, bars, a game room and other activities like zip lines.
Parking and access:
The garage and mostly flat paved driveway has plenty of parking as it is the deepest lot in Edelweiss. Additional parking that can accommodate RVs and trailers is by the tennis courts. While the roads are well maintained. There is a fairly steep incline at the bottom of Cabin Drive so an ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in the winter months. The Boyne Shuttle Bus does service this location.
Garage:
Enter through either the small door or large garage door into an insulated garage. To charge your EV you can plug in with no fee using either the Emporia 48 amp J1772 charger, or L14-50 50AMP outlet. A full sized gas grill and spare tank are located in the garage as well as an air compressor and other items you might need in a pinch. There is plenty of firewood stacked inside that is dry and ready to enjoy.
1st Floor:
Only two steps up from the garage is the mud room with plenty of room to store your coats, hats and boots.
Off the mudroom is a well-appointed gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances including a large gas range, dishwasher and refrigerator with an ice maker. For the coffee drinkers, there is a conical burr coffee grinder, a 14 cup coffee pot, and a Keurig. A full CutCo knife set, Instant-pot, crock pots as well as many other kitchen essentials are available for use.
Enjoy a meal at the large dining room table that seats 8 people comfortably with 4 additional seats at the breakfast bar.
Off the dining room is a door leading to a small deck that leads to a full size screened porch with a ceiling fan.
There is a fantastic living room featuring leather furniture in front of a remote controlled gas fireplace with a stone mantle, a 60 inch smart 4K TV with both Charter Cable TV video service and Roku Ultra for streaming or casting. An acoustic guitar for the musician sits by the fireplace.
Enter the Master bedroom and find a custom made rustic king size bed with a top of the line mattress, and 32 inch flat screen TV. Each side of the bed has a wireless cell charger, and power blocks with USB ports. A huge en suite bathroom features a large walk-in shower, mounted hair dryer, private water closet and a walk-in closet with full length mirror.
The front door opens up to a large entryway with a bench and coat rack hooks giving plenty of space for coats etc.
To the left of the front door are two bedrooms featuring locally made rustic queen size beds with USB power strips on each side of the bed. A bathroom is directly adjacent to the bedrooms for quick access.
The bathroom features a full size tub and mounted hair dryer.
2nd Lower walk out level.
You find a laundry room with a full size washer, dryer, full counter, ironing board and iron. A Dyson cordless vac and a wet/dry vac are also available for use.
A Game room featuring a full size foosball table.
A built-in bunk room with 4 twin beds that are ideal for kids.
Another bedroom with a solid custom log rustic twin over queen bed with USB power strips on each side that is also adjacent to the bathroom.
The bathroom features a full size tub, mounted hair dryer and ultra private water closet.
The family room features a full size couch with pull out hide-a-bed and sitting chairs. 55 inch TV with soundbar and subwoofer running Charter Cable TV, Roku Ultra or DVD player. There is a real glass door fireplace that has its own blower to heat the entire house if desired for the full up north ambiance.
The large ski locker room is like none other and has 8 built in lockers for ski apparel and hanging racks for ski and board gear. It features a boot dryer and large upper fan to dry out your outfits quicker.
From the ski room it's only two steps outside into the 6 person hot tub after a long day. If you don’t want to sit in the hot tub, you can still be a part of the conversation sitting on the historic Disciples II #78 Chair Lift, now bench seat, that spun at Boyne Mountain until April 2022.
We have a large concrete outdoor fire pit area with 8 chairs to enjoy year around. If only that fire pit could talk!
We have put a lot of effort into improving your comfort here. Both the temperature and the humidity are controlled individually on each floor and there is a dehumidifier in the ski locker room. The furnace fan is set to filter the air throughout the hour. The upstairs gas fireplace has a remote that has a thermostat function as well. There is an automatic generator that kicks on if the power is out and with alternate heat sources, not even a broken down furnace can ruin your vacation here.
The home owner formerly owned an ISP and phone company. They have put a lot of effort in ensuring the best possible experience. The cable Internet system typically delivers 375 down. It is distributed by a managed Plume mesh WI-FI internet system that you will find second to none. Even the outdoor fire pit has great WIFI coverage.

The cabin is beautiful! Everyone loved the ski in ski out convenience. The cabins size and layout made it possible for 12 people to not only enjoy time together, but to also find an alone time space.

Perfect!
We had 15 ladies staying here for a long weekend in the summer and everything was fantastic. The house was huge with plenty of space for everyone to sleep or hang out. There are two living spaces, hot tub, fire pit, and a screened in porch and we used all of the spaces! The kitchen is also nice and come with basic cooking tools and salt and pepper, there’s also a grill in the garage. Our house manager was very easy to communicate with when needed and very helpful. The location was also perfect for us. The resort is close by which has a few bars and restaurants and also a chairlift. We found out that we can also call a shuttle which will take you to different places on the grounds. Deer lake is also very close with a nice restaurant overlooking the water. Boyne city is around 15 minutes away so we spent some time on lake Charlevoix. Everyone loved it and we’d definitely stay here again!
