Ce gîte est situé dans un lieu très agréable et correctement équipé (prévoir un véhicule automatique ou puissant car en hauteur). Accueil correct mais sans plus par rapport à d’autres gîtes. C’est dommage que ce lieu manque d’entretien (piscine sale) et de propreté en général. Nous étions tranquille car seuls mais a noter piscine partagée avec les autres gîtes.

Un accueil chaleureux de la part de Christian qui est l écoute de ses locataires. Nous avons apprécié le calme du lieu, l emplacement à Pigeon (commune de bouillante) avec toutes les commodités à 5 min. Nos ados ont profité de la piscine chaque matins avant nos excursions. L'instant Nature à Bouillante

Bon accueil, belle maison et jardin magnifique. Montée à la Soufrière, plage, balades, kayak à l'ile Pigeon avec la decouverte des poissons exotiques de la réserve Cousteau, baignade dans le bassin jaune, dans le bassin des amours et au saut de l''Acomat, restaurants. Routes et stationnement un peu compliqués. Mais Basse Terre est une très belle region, cela se mérite !

Une semaine géniale dans un lieu magique ! C'était notre 4eme séjour aux Antilles, chaque fois nous avons loué de jolis bungalows, mais là, c'était vraiment le top ! au calme sur les hauteurs de Pigeon, certes, il faut aimer monter tout là haut, mais c'est ce qu'on recherche : un lieu intimiste, malgré la proximité d'un autre bungalow, au frais avec une belle vue. Super séjour ! Le gîte est très agréable dans un cadre de nature superbe. Sa situation est idéale pour découvrir Basse Terre et les nombreux sites à proximité. Christian est très disponible et nous a parfaitement conseillés. Merci pour cet accueil ! La réserve Cousteau, une rencontre avec des cachalots, les magnifiques plages près de Deshaies, Les Saintes, les chutes du Carbet, Marie-Galante, on a adoré !

Genuine tropical holidays - in a typical jungle retreat

As a couple we were staying for 7 nights in Christian’s house in the beautiful hills close to Bouillante on the west coast of Guadeloupe. We really enjoyed our stay in this retreat most of the time and generally recommend it to other travellers. The view on the lush tropical garden, the pool and the close-by ocean are stunning. You have a calm and relaxing time in the house most of the time which is ideally located to make several trips throughout the beautiful surroundings. It was great to simply chill and relax on the deckchairs by the pool or on the house‘s terrace, watching the sunset or countless colibri birds in the forest. Down in the village there is a well-fitted Carrefour Market and a vegetable stand where you can buy day-to-day grocery. Christian, the host, is a very friendly and communicative person who even allowed us to stay a few hours longer on the day of our departure, which was very convenient for us. Many thanks again for that! However, we have to mention some points that should be improved by the owners respectively have to be considered by travellers: - some parts of the kitchen equipment is very used and old, especially pots, plates and pans definately need an upgrade - at some point warm-water supply fully stopped for three days before our departure and was not fixed - since you live very close to nature in the middle of a tropical garden you are exposed to certain animals also in the open kitchen and outdoor lounge. we were absolutere fine with birds, frogs, lizards, insects etc. - no problem. However, rats coming to the place, were sort of unacceptable and the owners should do something against them, because that was quite disgusting. All-in-all we enjoyed the time there and would consider to book it again.
