"I arrived and the owner wasn’t expecting me even though I had booked earlier that day through Expedia. The room was fine, hard mattress but I like that. A bit outdated and hard worn sheets but I slept really well. I asked about dinner and the owner said yes 7:30. "Stayed here whilst visiting a chateau in the area. Lovely peaceful surroundings, giant chess in the vast gardens and a tree swing. Added bonus for us was the free electric charge points. You had to get a code from reception and they were only slow chargers but that was ideal for us as we plugged in overnight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Quiet clean room overlooking the gardens. Perfect venue for a bigger gathering too."

"We were a family of 5. The weather meant the pool was used everyday and was so valuable! Kitchen had everything we needed. The inside living spaces were a good size and the games room was enjoyed. Although with the hot weather nothing beats outside. Worth noting 2 of the bedrooms were across the house through the games room and dining room. This still left four rooms near each other if kids don't want to be far away but just a mention. All rooms were brilliant and spacious. We would stay again and could easily bring friends and still have space!"

"I was tempted to leave a terrible review to put everyone else off but that seemed perhaps a little unfair. This was the most magical, wonderful place to spend time with our children who were utterly entranced with the ponds and loved every moment in the pools. By day #2, one of our 7 year olds was asking if there are schools nearby and could we just live here? Beautiful gardens, fabulous wildlife (learning the French for hedgehog!), late sunsets and a lovely host. Thank you. "

"At first there was a bit of a mixup regarding accommodation but the owner went out of her way to rectify the situation & was more than helpful. Had a very nice meal at a local restaurant Contine. The breakfast which was included was very good with home made preserves etc. Parking on the street wasn't a problem at all. Would recommend staying in this beautiful historic small chateau. Thank you."
