Oak Creek Granary
Quaint and charming remodeled home on a quiet street in beautiful Bottineau, ND. Originally an early 1900’s Granary, this home was moved to its current location in the early 1940’s and additions were added for the kitchen, bathroom and a second bedroom. The home has all hard surface flooring for easy clean up and is uniquely decorated in a rustic farmhouse theme. We even left some hidden treasures exposed in the recent remodel like the brick chimney and aged wood siding. Bottineau and the surrounding area have some of the most beautiful scenery in ND. Just a short drive from the Turtle Mountains, Lake Metigoshe, Bottineau Winter Park (Annie’s House) and The International Peace Gardens, this home would be a great home base for travelers to the area. The community of Bottineau itself offers several options for dining and local shops. The home is centrally located and within walking distance of the downtown area, Walmart and the city park featuring Tommy Turtle.

We were there visiting family. The house was so cute and clean AND very well appointed. The beds were beyond comfortable. We loved that pets were welcome even tho we didn’t bring our dog. I would most definitely recommend this property! I have one suggestion that is to add a suitcase stand in the bedroom. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay!
This little house is an absolute gem. Comfortable and homey with everything you might need for cooking and enjoying relaxation. Great area with walkable town amenities. Host Miranda is friendly helpful and available. All in all, a great place to stay.
We loved our stay in Bottineau! This home is so comfortable and extremely well equipped. Miranda knows how to set up a VRBO home to make her guests feel welcome. Highly recommended.
A well kept place with everything you may need. We (three adults) stayed for a long weekend to explore the Turtle Mountain area and loved coming back to this cozy space each evening to relax and cook. Jocelyn was an attentive and accommodating host. The home is clean and quiet, perfect for a restful weekend. We will definitely be back!
The house is a small cottage with 2 bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen. There’s a small outside grilling area with 2 lawn chairs to enjoy the outside. The host thoughtfully supplied two tie out cables for dogs, as well as a large dog crate in the living room. We totally enjoyed the town although small it had a wonderful creamery and was convenient to the international peace garden as well lake metigoshi state park with great hiking. This host did everything imaginable to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable!
My friend and I traveled to see the international peace Gardens. We stayed at the Oak Creek Granary. It is such a charming property! We felt right at home. All of our needs were anticipated, with a lot of little extra touches that made our stay even more comfortable. The property is extremely neat, extremely clean, and very cozy. We felt like the neighborhood was very safe. This is a charming little house in a charming little town. The host was extremely responsive and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. Also, this was a pet owners dream. We didn’t have any pets with us, but the house was designed to accommodate pets as well.
Our experience with this house was great. It is small but it was perfect for two people. Although the house is technically old, It has been completely redone (lots and lots of electrical outlets...quite handy in this digital age of recharging devices!). It is situated in a small town that is just the right size...we could easily walk to local stores (even Walmart), parks, movie theater, and restaurants. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedrooms have no closets, only a few drawers and hooks. Since we only used one bedroom, we simply used the 2nd bedroom as our walk-in closet, laying much of our two weeks worth of clothes on the bed. Also remember, that there is no washer or dryer provided...but that problem was rectified by the coin laundry in town. Overall, we had a great time. The owners were extremely attentive, responding to any problem (we had a circuit beaker blow, and they were there in less than ten minutes to fix the problem!). Our two-thousand mile drive to get here was well-worth the wonderful experience we had.
This place is so clean and comfy!! We really enjoyed our stay. The house is adorable and a great place to stay in Bottineau for going to the Peace Garden or Lake Metigoshe. Closevto the "diwntown" area and we walked all over....
This was our 2nd time At Miranda house. Absolutely beautiful place. In a great location. If you ever need somewhere to stay that feels like home, I highly recommend this place!

Bed was commfortable, kitchen adequate for cooking and needed as there are few good restaurant choices in rural North Dakota. Great access to wildlife refuges and birding hotspots. House has a bird feeder that attracted woodpeckers feeding their new fledglings.
This house is comfortable and cozy and has everything you could need for a great stay. We have been here twice and both visits exceeded our expectations. Nice neighborhood, good parking, comfy bed and all of the kitchen stuff you might need. Thank Miranda!
We enjoyed our stay, and Miranda is a great host who thought of everything. The home is well stocked with whatever you will need. Thanks for a great weekend stay!
