Excellent location if you’re looking to explore the Shenandoah Valley. Minutes away from Culpepper VA, and a short drive to the Skyline Drive. The farm is quiet and well maintained. The animals are very quiet and the setting is very peaceful. The cabin may seem rustic, but has everything you need for your stay.
A very nice get away. Simple, clean, and quiet. Although I stayed alone, it was nice to see card and board games, books and a fun scavenger hunt around the property! I sure would bring the family next time! Lots to do close by or day trips :)
Your place is the perfect getaway for us. We love that we have our privacy, and that you are very gracious in everything that you do for your guests. I highly recommend this location for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and just relax, the owners are exceptional and do everything they can to make your stay a complete delight

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Rustic but Unclean
Overall the place had a great rustic charm with plenty of space in the cabin. The location was also very convenient to visit the national park and local towns. However, it was not clean. The sheets were very old and had other people’s /pet’s hair throughout it. The box spring was dirty too. The couches were also not clean/look safe to sit on. They had stains and hair all over them. In the kitchen, the dishes were not very clean. In the bathroom, the curtains by the toilet had a small blood stain. Overall, communication was great, the hosts were very friendly and kind. The location was also great in between the national park and towns. Unfortunately, the state of cleanliness could use a lot of improvement.

Lovely little place
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My kids loved being able to see the sheep and other farm life. The nights were so peaceful and quiet and the cabin was very spacious. I will definitely stay there again if I’m in the area.
This was our second trip out to Spring Haven Farm. We really love the ease of getting there from the DC metro area and the easy access to Culpeper, Sperryville, and Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive.
The rental has a rustic cabin feel and was very charming. We enjoyed the view of the pond with the ducks and also enjoyed watching the goats and alpacas. Essentials were all present within the rental. Will check to see if it's available on our next trip to Culpeper.
Love the property, nice and peace lots of animals on the property. Fishing was great, in about an hour we caught 10 Catfish. Good size ones too. Great place to get away for the weekend.
My house flooded, and I stayed at Peter & Helen's farm for several weeks during the mitigation process. The farm is peaceful, Peter was very responsive to any needs or questions, and I had everything I needed, including wifi - as both I and my partner work from home. I couldn't have asked for a better place to land as the recovery process started.
The property was situated on a really beautiful farm. The unit I stayed in was very cute and quaint and had lots of interesting books to read. I stayed here on a weekend getaway from the city and it was just what I needed to get some R&R. It’s not too far from some cute small towns and some great hiking areas! The hosts were great and even gifted me some goat milk soap! I highly highly recommend this property.
The accommodations were very clean and it was a very tranquil setting. The kitchen had everything you would need if you wanted to cook. The accommodations were very spacious and the queen bed was comfortable. There was a separate living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. I will come back here the next time I want to go to skyline Drive. 😀😀😀
We enjoyed staying here for the weekend. We were in town for a horse show and it was so close to the barn! We had everything we needed and the owners were so nice.
Farm-like settings, animals, pastures, big pond - very nice. It was part of a duplex, which we didn’t realize but not a big deal. Not the lap of luxury but everything you need and everything in good working order. Fifteen minute ride to Culpepper - recommend making a reservation at the popular places, which also seem to close on the early side.
HB2 is a short jog from Culpeper that created a very rural, nearly off-grid experience. The farm is fantastic, simple in the best sense, quiet, wildlife and farm animals alike, great sunsets, and surprisingly great star gazing with the minimal light pollution and clear skies. It has a cottage feel to it, not a lot of creature comforts which was a great change of pace, cooked a lot of my meals, read more, fed the ducks, made over due phone calls, the place really lacked distractions. Peter and Helen were very responsive and the eggs were fantastic, think I made breakfast for dinner 15 of my 20 days out there.
The property itself was a gem- so relaxing and peaceful. Our hosts left great welcome materials, and were extremely helpful. Will definitely stay here again!
Excellent location for visiting Shenandoah National Park and surrounding area. Lovely property on a country farm with very friendly owners. Respected our privacy but were available if needed. Very comfortable and pleasant accommodations. Will definitely be our first choice when visiting the area again
