"Beautiful and convenient location right on the water! Communication with the host was good. We arrived by train and had to find our way in the rain, and at night. I would recommend arriving in the light of day. The dark and rainy night made the navigation with gps a little difficult.The photos in the directions were helpful, however in the dark it was a bit unclear how far to walk after getting the keys. "Room was very quiet; noticeable how quiet the aircon was. View from room over lake was amazing to wake up to as was location for breakfast. Infinity pool is large, refreshing but not cold and a great spot to watch life on the lake go by."

"Let me begin by saying that this is one of the most beautiful resorts in the world! The architecture is fantastic with private balconies on every room which allow personal, gorgeous views that one will never forget. Built at the turn of the twentieth century, the property has been maintained well. Considering that the resort sits atop a very high peak overlooking a beautiful lake in the Alps, that is no small feat. The interior has been well preserved, shiny and clean. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. That’s the good side of the experience. On the down side, the staff, the restaurant, the unwelcoming atmosphere, not so good. We got the feeling from check in until departure that we were a big inconvenience. Not rude, just indifferent, not friendly. We sat in the restaurant for half an hour, completely ignored, while a small group (we assumed they were locals) had a get together, and finally walked out. We drove around the mountain a short way and found a small restaurant where we had the most wonderful home cooked meal we could have dreamed of. No breakfast, no coffee, no restaurant. I would definitely stay here again, but with no expectations of service."

"Loved out triple room, windows on two sides looking over the water. Large bathroom that you accessed through what looked like a wardrobe door. Beautiful old building with lovely architectural feature. Breakfast was very nice. The only issue we had was that we were a bit cold at night (it was late March) and although we understood that the central heating wouldn’t be pumping at that time of year, we asked reception for more blankets and were just told no. Didn’t ruin our stay but I don’t think we were asking for too much there."
