"At first glance a very strange experience at what seemed an abandoned roadside hotel.
After a couple of minutes we were greeted by the host though, and from here everything was smooth. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and freshly cooked meals.
The facilities, facades and ‘restaurant’ for sure needs a good hand to be somewhat more presentable and inviting, as it gives you a feeling that the place has had its time of glory in the past.

"Arrived very tired having struggled to find it due to road closures. booked on here, no one at the hotel to welcome usas explained on our booking paperwork. Rang and got through to an English speaking person who cycled down to us to show us in and let us park the motorcycle in the locked garage. "This is a very promising dog friendly hotel sadly let down by a few niggly decorative issues and fairly slow service. Likewise the restaurant has a great menu but whilst we both ordered very different dishes, both were saltier than the shorts of a Dead Sea fisherman. But the grounds are nice in a natural rural state and parking is plentiful"

"I stayed 2 nights at this hotel while my husband and I visited Papenburg. The staff were professional and helpful. The hotel itself is austere but clean and bright. When I was there, the hotel's clientele were mostly older customers and their adult children.The hotel had a calm atmosphere and there was little to no noise on my floor.
The rooms were a good size and had a ton of outlets and USB ports to charge your phone. The only thing that I didn't like about my room was the mattress. I found it to be very hard.
The best aspect of my stay was the breakfast. So much food and non-dairy milk for the ceral. I just loved it!
