The resort was very clean especially the shower/bathroom. The staff were amazing and friendly both at check in, dinner and breakfast. We did not use the pools as we had visited Vok baths earlier. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices for everyone.
The room was clean, it overlooked on the water, the staff was friendly! The breakfast was delicious! They had hot pools down on the first level. The restaurant was excellent!
Great place to stay while visiting the East side of Iceland. We happened to arrive on the day of a rain storm so having access to the spa facilities saved the day, even though it costs extra we found it to be worth it. The staff was very welcoming and the included breakfast was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Beautiful property but deceptive pictures. Shows a wonderful spa but nowhere on Expedia did it say spa was $4500 ISK p/person extra. Nice restaurant and bar. Room clean and great view of the sea. Nothing to do in this small town unless puffins are still there (thru mid August) and it's 45 min in and out from main road. If it's not puffin season, don't stay here unless you want to relax and stare and the view.
The guesthouse was great and the breakfast was really good. It was clean and very well maintained. I was annoyed by all the add ons. To use the electric hot tub you had to pay, which I thought was a complete rip off. That left a bad taste.
We stayed in the deluxe double room and it was fantastic! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the spa and the food at the restaurant for supper/breakfast. Unbeatable views, worth venturing off the ring road for this hidden gem!
This was a true Icelandic experience hiking, puffins!!!! And the spa facility especially the seaweed bath. The owner was above and beyond, she made the 3 days extremely wonderful. Recommend highly
Absolutely stunning hotel! So clean! Staff is super friendly; they even helped us modify the schedule so we could see puffins. Rooms look great and modern! Breakfast was delicious with a variety of homemade cookies and jams!
Perfect in every way!! Go out of your way to visit this hotel! The owner and all the staff we met were just lovely. The hotel is beautiful with an amazing setting. Restaurant food is food critic attention worthy! The included breakfast was delicious with home baked breads and so many items to choose from. And then there’s the beautiful spa where you sit outside soaking overlooking the fjord and mountains. We will definitely be back here!
Was a great spot to stay, we had one of the suites and it was a great size and had a view out over the old harbour.
Breakfast was good, a lot of homemade items.
We also purchased some gin from the brewery as a gift and have had good feedback on it.
We booked as went to see the puffins, (best viewing times are early morning or evening after 7pm) but there wasn't a great deal else to do in the area unless you are looking for some longer hikes, or want to use the spa (additional cost). We booked two nights but could have done it with a one night stay, however it is an amazing place to go and see the puffins (very close).
The location of the resort is beautiful. We had a private room overlooking the bay. The outside of the building is deceiving as it is rather plain looking, but the room itself was quite spacious and modern looking. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was great.
The bathroom was also a nice size and very nicely laid out.
Only two negatives were that there was quite a noticeable sulphuric smell in the bathroom and the window had to be left open and the front door to our room was very tricky to open and lock…almost like it either wasnt installed correctly or needed adjustment.
Great beautiful location and I was very happy I stayed there. Also breakfast was included in the price.

had an excellent stay at Blábjörg Resort. The view from my room and balcony was beautiful, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good with a nice selection of food.
The only disappointment was the spa and hot tub access. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because of the photos showing the hot tub overlooking the water. However, I was surprised to learn that use of the spa and hot tub required an additional fee. I do not feel this was clearly advertised when booking, and it would have been helpful if this information had been made more prominent.
Despite that issue, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the great views, comfortable accommodations, and friendly service.
The apartment is ultra modern, beautifully designed and genuinely luxurious. The spa is fantastic and easily the highlight of our holiday. The chef was incredible and even created a lamb in beer burger that was nothing short of gorgeous.
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every single person was so kind and welcoming. We ended up snowed in, but they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We are genuinely so glad we stayed here. They are all amazing!!!
This a lovely place to stay complete with restaurant and brewery/distillery. We had a lovely relaxing stay and it is only a few miles from BORGARFJÖRÐUR EYSTRI where you can see lots of puffins up close!
