"We had 3 nights at Penina after a week in Vilamoura. We arrived at 1.30pm and were able to check in and use the facilities straightaway. We had a mountain facing room which was fine for a short stay. The buffet restaurant was disappointing - the Mexican food was very bland. "This is a maximum a 3 star hotel overall. Breakfast and dinner were really poor. In the morning almost all tables were dirty and staff have done nothing about that. Also we weren’t offered any drinks or eggs, later we found out that we could have a sunny side up or similar by request but it was impossible to find staff. Beds are just awful and painful, old mattresses with broken springs. Only 1 (ONE!!!) average speed EV charger in the whole facility."

"Easy to park and access. Check in was smooth. Our room was on the second floor with a window looking out to the coast. We could open the window and listen to the waves all night. So close to everything. The bed was amazing! Huge bathtub and lots of warm water. The breakfast filled us up with many options for breads, pastries, coffees…the elevator made it really easy to move our luggage to the room. "

"Beautiful place! When we first arrived I was in love. However the administration did not communicate well with the customer so we did not know requirements of our stay so things did not work out well. Did not really feel welcome from the admin although housekeeping was most considerate. The are is beautiful but you do need a vehicle. Beautiful beaches in Lagos and Lux!"

"Had the most amazing stat and if I come back to Lagos, I’ll be sure to come back. Food was great, staff were attentive and friendly. It’s about a 45 min walk into Lagos town centre, but you can Uber for around €4 each way. There was constantly entertainment in the hotel but we did not see that, and the drinks list for all inclusive was substantial. My girlfriend said this was the best hotel she stayed in. Definitely recommended. Oh, and you get a welcome drink on arrival, no matter what time you arrive. "
