The hotel was in an excellent location for walking to shopping, dining, and an easy walk to Blowing Rock Brewery which I recomend. Beds were comfortable. The room was quiet and well stocked. They offered a well beyond average breakfast that included 3 or 4 hot items. D

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very nice. They were very accommodating in giving us adjoining rooms with others in our group. The only problem was the elevator was broken so we had to go outside to get to the pool with our wheelchair. But the staff was helpful in opening the door so we could get in to the pool. Overall a good experience.

We had a wonderful time at Meadowbrook Inn. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The building was very quiet. The breakfast buffet each morning was amazing too.

It is a nice hotel with clean and lovely rooms. The elevator was not working, so that was a littleinconvenient since breakfast was on the 1st floor, we stayed on the 2nd floor, and the ice machine was on the 3rd floor. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It is an older hotel that is undergoing renovation, but very roomy with nice grounds, etc. My complaint is the NOISE! All night long water was gurgling in a locked closet. It was constant. We kept expecting it to eventually stop. I recorded it on my iphone. At checkout, we were told, they use geothermal heat and that is why we heard the water noises. Nowhere does it say anything about this online or in the room. The receptionist said if we had called them they could have turned it off. I guess we would then have had no heat?!? We will not stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Amazing location which made walking around Blowing Rock so easy to not have to worry about parking. The rooms were spacious and clean. Fresh cookies in the lobby. Only one comment to the owners would be to please work on a better wifi system. I know it is possible in 2024 to have good wifi. Basic cable was all that was available so streaming to a laptop or phone would have been possible with a good wifi setup. Even without the best wifi we would stay there again.

This property was perfect for my husband and I for a quick weekend away! Everything was within walking distance and easy to get to! My only complaint was the water in the shower never really got hot! Warm at best..

Rooms need to be updated. The furniture is old-HVAC needs updating! Building needs A LOT of work! Our reservations were for 4 nights. On our last day we requested to add another night but was told there was a 2-night minimum - we waited over 24 hours before they agreed to book us another night. The staff was not helpful! Each time we would check at the front desk we were told a different reason why we couldn't book another night. Told us the manager had to lift the 2-night minimum. The manager (Allison) was non-existence! Spoke with Allison after our stay about a charge on our cc - she was rude and said we would have to call our bank. Christine at the front desk was somewhat helpful - but it was comical that she gave us different reasons why we couldn't book another night! Dillon, Justin, Christine and two other front desk staff gave us different answer when inquired about our request to stay another night. The HOTEL was FAR from being full!!!! In the past this was one of our favorite places to stay - likely to be our last time staying at Meadowbrook!

Hotel was clean and the location was great. We could walk to shops and restaurants. However, the hot water was not working. At best the water was luke warm and really made for a dissappointing stay. Will not stay here again.

The staff were courteous & pleasant. The room occupied during the stay was a nice size & quite roomy. There was an issue with slow drainage of the tub/shower & the bathroom sink. Water temperature wasn't consistent at all times. The breakfast buffet items could be warmer.

The staff really are trying, but this place is in disrepair. On the good side, the breakfast is great, and the staff are friendly. They also had homemade cookies in the lobby. That said, during our stay, the heat in our room stopped working (while it was 25 degrees outside), the door card-reader stopped working, and the hot water stopped being hot. Also, every visit to the pool, there were no towels available, and though the staff were very apologetic, they did say that they didn’t have enough towels. That seems like a management-solvable problem. The staff seemed so over-worked, I felt bad for them. Probably won’t be staying there again.

I did like my stay..but there was a few things I wasn't too bowled over with...1.the hallway in the morning was loud...I'm a late sleeper and you could hear everything going on in the hallway...2. there was no heater in the bathroom...even tho I cranked the heat up it was cold getting out of the shower...3. the heater that they did have in the room was loud..it affected my sleep a little bit but thats the way it was...its not a bad place..I enjoyed it...they have a pool....a ballroom...a restaurant...the breakfast in the morning was top notch...if they just made a few improvements it would be a super place to stay.

Our room had no heat so staff provided a portable heater for us since it was 8°. The heater was slow but effective for heating our room but we later discovered our hot water was only warm at best. The elevator was also broke which was only a minor inconvenience but on top of everything else we decided to end our stay early.

Lovely location. Nice gas logs and private sunroom. Poor guest experience. Elevator and ice machine out of service. Hallway carpet well past its prime. Unreliable cable TV reception. Overtreated water. Strange noises from the building. Uncomfortable furniture. :-/
