Wheelchair access. No smoking. Visit Scotland 4 Star. Please note: There are steps in the garden (with alternative ramp access) and a pond in the grounds.. Quietly nestled away in the Scottish countryside on a working dairy farm and with the owner living on-site, this detached, bright and spacious holiday home is all on one level. It offers panoramic views over the surrounding farmland and countryside over to the Ochil and Campsie hills, making Lawford Lodge an ideal location for families, couples and friends to spend time together at any time of year.
The large open plan living space incorporates a well-equipped kitchen, fitted with quality appliances and a range cooker, and a dining area which is ideal for a celebration meal. Welcoming and bright, the living area is inviting with comfortable sofas and makes a good social hub. Leading off the kitchen is a handy utility room with a sink and a good place to keep outdoor clothing. There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside from all windows, and the three attractive bedrooms are bright and well-presented. Patio doors lead from the kitchen onto a decking area and the large, secluded garden with children’s play area provides plenty of space for all guests to enjoy.
As Lawford Lodge is situated on a working dairy farm, the surrounding fields have cattle, calves and sheep (and lambs in spring) to see. By prior arrangement and when available, guests can enjoy a tour around the farm or visit the wildlife duck pond. Guests can also bring their horse or pony, by prior arrangement, as there is a field in front of the lodge and two equestrian centres close by.
With so much to do at Lawford Lodge, you may not want to leave! However, if you do wish to explore, there’s plenty to do in the local area. For a great family day out, visit The Falkirk Wheel on the Forth and Clyde Canal. It’s only 5 miles away and has lots of activities to suit all ages and tastes including boat trips, canoeing, bike hire, a waterpark, canal and woodland walks, café and gift shop.
Falkirk town centre has lots of places to eat and drink, events and activities all year round. The shopping centre has a great selection of independent boutiques, gift shops and high street names. Local attractions and visitor centres include The Helix, which is home to The Kelpies: the largest equine sculptures in the world, and Callendar House and Park, a 14th-century French-style château house with a working Georgian kitchen.
The bustling cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are within 40 minutes’ drive and the local railway station has park and ride facilities so you can enjoy the cities and visit one of the many concerts and festivals without the stress of parking.
After a day out, you’ll be looking to relax and unwind - why not sink into a bubble bath with a glass of fizz? Lawford Lodge is a perfect retreat for that special family holiday. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Comfortable home with Scotland charm
This place was exactly what I was looking for. It had everything my family needed and was also in a beautiful rural setting. It had stunning views and cows nearby. We were able to tour the farm. We were thankful they took time from their work to show up around. My daughter fell in love with a calf and hopes it’s still doing well.

The property was absolutely beautiful! Everything was clean and well put together. The pictures on the website did not do it justice. It is in the perfect location to do and see everything that was on our list. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Scotland.

Amazing holiday cottage *****
Absolutely amazing holiday home (the best we have stayed in) beautiful quiet surroundings and very central. The Cottage was huge, clean and very well equipped, a home from home. The Cottage is on a working cattle farm and the owners were brilliant showing us around and letting us go up and see the calves. Would love to go back....

Fabulous place. Shame about the beds.
Stunning property. A little off the beaten track. Very potholed road leading up to the property under the railway bridge. Views from cottage are beautiful. Cottage was very clean and very well equipped. Beds and mattresses need changing. We went to the local Argos and brought mattress toppers to try and help. This is my only gripe.

Quilt spacious country house
The house is very spacious and quiet. We slept well and felt very comfortable. Quickly in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling... It's a pity we didn't meet our hosts in person.
