Lovely Place

This was my second stay. Everything I need for a work trip in Bonners Ferry. The view of the water and the honking decending evening geese is so precious.

Studio in Bonners Ferry

Property was situated near to a busy railroad and trains, along with their whistles that were activated at a nearby road crossing, ran regularly all night long. This should have been disclosed in property description as it definitely had an impact on our ability to sleep through the night. Some basic amenities were missing, only had one coffee cup, no toaster, no wine glasses, no broom or dustpan (we would clean if provided the tools), and no fire extinguisher. The appliances were great and all functional, great set of kitchen knives and nice silverware for four people. Overall the kitchen was well stocked with everything to prepare a meal. There was a great deck to sit on and enjoy the fantastic view, unfortunately there was a wasp nest in the soffit (host was notified) and they kept attacking us so we could not utilize the deck very much. Property would benefit from a couple more chairs to sit on to watch television which was not visible from the couch. Overall a nice place, just needs a few things to make it great.

It was perfect, comfortable, river viewMy first morning having coffee on the deck, mamas and baby deer checked me out and then big daddy buck showed upIt was a perfect place for catching up with my best friend of 40 plus yearsI lived in Bonners Ferry off the grid for the 70s And spent almost everyday with my neighbor friend When we meet it was like we were never apart, and the deck on our cabin overlooking the river was the perfect place for catching up

Surprise!

We did not end up staying at the property. There was an electrical issue (outage?). There was no power in the house. It was clean and ready for us, just did not have power. Thankfully, our host acted quickly and put us in contact with another host who had a property available (a small miracle on a holiday weekend). All in all, I feel like our host handled the problem quickly and got us taken care of. We appreciated that.

Unready residence

The place was beautiful but it looked as if nobody had been in it in some time. Dead flies and debris all throughout the space. That caused me to check the bed, there were dark hairs in the sheets. We didn’t end up staying, although the host attempted to get a cleaner there that evening. It was too late.
