I really liked that it was right on the center of cologne and super close to the main attractions of the city like the beautiful cathedral. There are many places to eat around and the central station is literally one block away. It was affordable and clean. The one thing I didnt like was that they gave us one room that was on the first floor with no view and we could not turn the tv on. We asked for help to one of the staff members at the front desk but she just kept saying "i dont know" like she didnt care. The other front desk members were nice though.

The location is perfect. Just a few steps from the train station and the cathedral. The room itself was spacious and had the essentials for a short stay. It is a bit strange to get out of the building to the street and enter another to get to the room (quadruple), and it's hard to climb 5 stories with no elevator with luggage, but for us the view to the San Andreas church and sound of bells made up for it. The keys didn't quite work, they need to change the system. There's a room to store your luggage in case you need it.

This hotel has an excellent location. Close to the train station and metro. It has the Cathedral at walking distance of two blocks Shopping and attractions. I would highly recommend it.

It’s a nice place. I stayed in the new renuated part of the hotel. Checkinn very smooth. Chef is very nice & made special omlette for me for breakfast. Over all value for money. Location excellent 2 mins from koln HBF.

Location, location, location... but at what cost? Staying at the Boutique 003 next to the main station was a lesson in bittersweet convenience. Sure, you can't beat the train connection, but strap in for a bumpy ride into your room. Stairway to (unsatisfying) heaven: Forget elevators, my calves got a serious workout lugging luggage up four flights of creaky stairs. And the reward at the top? A door that looked like it hadn't been painted since the Berlin Wall fell. The "bathroom" was more like a Tetris puzzle of fixtures crammed into a shoebox. The only saving grace was the proximity to the station. Who should stay here? Desperate souls caught in a travel snafu, backpackers with masochistic tendencies, or maybe ghosts who appreciate a vintage vibe (and don't need mirrors or hot water). Recommendation: Pack some hand sanitizer, earplugs, and an Olympic-level stair-climbing champion as your travel companion. Otherwise, keep scrolling for hotels that don't require spelunking skills to reach your room. Rating: 2 out of 5 train stars (and even that feels generous)

Stayed here because I had booked another not great hotel and needed to find something last minute that would be better. I mentioned it on check in and the receptionist was so friendly and asked to let him know if i had any issues with the room because they would want to help. It was comfortable, clean, large enough and perfect location

This is your basic hotel if your looking for a convenient place within 5 min walk of the cathedral and the train station. Was clean and good. Front desk staff had huge issues checking in was a very slow process with a line of people out the door waiting.

The best thing about this hotel is, it's close to the train station. Room was small but clean, the sheets were fresh.. The hallway needs refurbishing. Elevator is rather small, hopefully it doesn't breakdown all the time because there was one occasion it didn't work. Check in was ok

Nice room but the floor was covered in water
The room was actually fantastic - spacious, remarkably quiet given the central location, beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was great as well and the location unbeatable. However, the radiator in the room was leaking and we noticed right away when we checked in that the floor was all wet. Water was actually squeezing up between the floorboards when we walked on it. Luckily we were only there for one night, because the staff did nothing to remedy the situation besides give us a few extra towels to put on the floor. More than a night would have been unlivable. In the morning, we mentioned the issue to the front desk again and it was apparently news to them, so the night staff we first reported it to didn’t pass on the message, it seems. The morning staff was gruff and offered zero recompense. It was surprising how unconcerned the staff seemed to be with a major maintenance issue and with guests forced to stay in a room with the floor continuously covered in water.

The room was clean and located close to the Dom and train station. We were able to store our bags safely in the luggage storage on arrival. There was an issue with our room which was sorted at check-in. I've rated staff service low because when we first arrived at 12.30pm a woman really rudely barked at us that check in was at 2pm before we'd even had a chance to speak. We'd literally only just walked in the door after a long journey. This was a really bad first impression for me. We didn't expect to be able to check in early, however, I do expect to be spoken to politely when I've paid for a service. Not impressed and I wouldn't stay here again.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. The bathroom smelled strongly of mold and there was never at any point any hot water. There was also no refrigerator and the small security safe did not work. More seriously, though, there were security issues in the hotel that left us feeling unsafe. First of all, when we returned to the hotel after a few hours out, around 10:30 PM the door was unlocked, but there was no one at the front desk. After waiting for several minutes, we finally simply took the key to our room, which was reachable from the patron’s side of the desk. Between 1:30 and 2:30 AM, there was a group of men, apparently drunk, making a ruckus in the hallway: banging on the walls, yelling, tossing around the laundry carts, and turning on the vacuum cleaner (both the laundry carts and the vacuum cleaner were permanently stationed in the halls). Finally they retired to their room, which was right next door to ours, where the disruption continued for some time. Given the security issues that we had already observed at the desk, this made for a very nerve-wracking experience. I will say that the floors were clean and the mattress itself was firm. Given the other issues, however, as well as the excessive price, I doubt that we will be staying there again.

Wonderful location, great view, lots of stairs!
We were in room 442 and as other people have mentioned there are a lot of stairs to climb with your luggage if your room is in the separate building. Not very fun if you have someone elderly or disabled with you. Also the lock was very hard to open and was a pain and waste of time to deal with when you just want to check into your room. Hopefully management will read this and realize it needs to be fixed. Despite those setbacks the room was very nice with a beautiful view and was spacious. The check in staff were ok and the breakfast was good, although when you still have an hour of breakfast left, you should refill the egg and sausage station, some people didn’t get any.

Don’t stay here for your own sanity.
Excellent location and nice breakfast. That’s about all that was nice about this place. The hotel worker gave us an incorrect address for parking, so we had to figure that out. He was slow to register us. Gave us some bizarre room that was actually not even in the same building as the rest of the hotel. We had carry all of our bags up 5 flights of narrow, winding stairs, only to get to the top and the key to the room didn’t work. Had to walk back to get the worker and have him walk back up there and say no it dissent work. Then had to take all of the bags back down and around to the lobby only to get two separate rooms for our family and then carry more bags up flights of stairs. The elevator is a joke literally and the worker has no clue what he is doing.

This place was not as advertised. Our room was in a separate building that did not have an elevator. It was up four flights of stairs, smelled like cigarette smoke, and the staff was rude. After hauling all of our luggage to the room we could not get the door to open. The staff made a huge deal about having to show us the very special way to open the lock. The luggage storage is in an unlocked, unmonitored closet.

Very good deal
I loved my stay! It's a good deal for the price. The hallways of the hotel are a bit shabby, but the rooms are newly renovated and very comfy. The breakfast is included in the price and very good. When I arrived, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. And, most importantly to me, it's just a 2-min walk from the grand central train station. The shopping mile and old city are all in walking distance.
