Messnerhof winery, lovingly furnished, on the outskirts of Bolzano
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (96)
"We loved staying at this unique property. Located in a vineyard it has wonderful views over the valley and surrounding vineyards. The apartment is extremely comfortable with everything you need. It is relatively new so beds, lounge and kitchen are all excellent. We enjoyed our days out and coming back to cook and relax here at night and sample the excellent wines on offer. "Built in the 1500’s this place has been modernized for comfort. Beautiful remote area. Wonderful staff running the place. Great views! Quaint little bar on the first floor that offers cocktails and meats and cheeses. Very comfortable large king room. There is a library where one can relax and read or play games.Breakfast was very European with eggs cooked to order. Keep in mind there are stairs and no lift to keep the history alive. This place will forever be imbedded in my heart."

The staff tried to help and gave us a fan which did help some. The problem was that the temperature had to be controlled at the front desk with a computer. The night manager came to our room and tried multiple times to fix it on the computer but it didn’t work. We are...
