I stayed at the Cranky Croc from Nov. 26-28. Everything was great! The staff were amazing! The sleeping pods were super clean and cozy. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! The activities were also great and there were so many food options nearby! Highly recommend the hostel!

We rented a private room on the first floor of this hostal and were so pleased to have a super comfy bed, clean room, hot shower, and quiet night. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great. Walking distance to museums and activities planned daily. Fun time!

Absolutely above all expectations. I stayed in room 203, which is a private room with its own bathroom. Didn’t even need ear plugs. The entire place is immaculate and charming. The staff are the best. The food is fantastic. Will be back for a longer stay!

I spent 12 days at this well managed and welcoming hostel in a prime La Candelaria location walking distance to many of Bogotá's wonderful attractions. There are also many fine restaurants, cafes and convenience stores in close proximity. I stayed in a room with a spacious private bathroom. The walk in shower had good water pressure and there was plenty of hot water. The bed was large and comfortable. The room also had a smart TV and plenty of storage space. The wifi reception was good. The hostel was very quiet overnight. Accordingly, I always had a good night's sleep. The hostel staff were all courteous, professional and English speaking. The hostel includes a great restaurant that serves breakfast items until noon and dinner starting at 6pm. The meals I had there were all delicious and reasonably priced. The hostel can arrange several worthwhile tours/ excursions of Bogotá for guests and offers a reasonably priced airport transport. All in all this was a very pleasant stay for me as a solo senior traveller and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Bogotá

The location is perfect for people who want to be close to restaurants, nightlife and some of the city's biggest tourist attractions (Museo de Oro in particular). On the downside, the mattress was hard and My room (a prívate one with a prívate bath) was in an área next to the comunal áreas so there was some noise but nothing terrible and so I didn't request a change.

Top notch! I'm a 71-yr-old female solo traveler, and this place is perfectly located, extremely clean, serves very good breakfast 'til noon, good dinner 'til 9pm, and staff is attentive and helpful. I totally enjoyed the walking tour, the graffiti tour and the food tour; I learned a lot! The sleeping area is well separated from the lobby and socializing areas, and is REALLY quiet. During my four-day stay, I never had to wait for a toilet or a sink or a shower, in the area where those amenities were shared. Guests were all friendly and considerate; no "cranky crocs" or cranky people to be found! Note to guests with mobility issues: you should ask for a private room to fit your needs, as there are some which are on the first floor and not around the uneven courtyard floor. Thanks to all for making my stay so comfortable, convenient, and economical!
