This hotel is the BEST! Good location for walking to the marina, restaurants, etc in the downtown area. The floor to ceiling windows offer a spectacular view of the harbor, (get a harbor view room) allowing you to watch all the activity. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a very good variety and is well stocked. We stayed here 8 years ago and it was very consistent and would definitely recommend. 17th floor lounge is great for viewing the midnight sun and surrounding city.

More negative than positive experience

Before our stay, we were unexpectedly relocated to a lower-quality hotel because they were unable to accommodate our original reservation. This led to hours of phone calls with Hotels.com and lengthy email exchanges with the hotel, creating a stressful and frustrating situation. When we finally arrived, hoping for a relaxing stay, we were surprised to find that a major football match was taking place. The hotel was largely closed off, with security guards stationed throughout. Due to my claustrophobia, I was not allowed to use the stairs to reach my room, which caused significant distress. The guards were rude, and we didn’t feel welcome at all. The first day was truly awful. Although we were later upgraded to a suite as a gesture to make up for the experience, the entire situation had already cast a shadow over our stay and ruined much more than just the first impression.

Flott beliggenhet rett ved havnen, men jeg vil gjerne informere at de ikke har egen parkering. Var fullt i alle gater så måtte parkere i p-hus. Betalte 350 kr fra ettermiddag frem til neste morgen. Stort fint rom med kjøleskap og vannkoker. Fikk rom med utsikt til sjø og fjell. Utrolig god frokost. Alle som jobbet der var blide og koselige, bortsett fra hun som tok seg av innsjekkingen min. Hun så ut til å ha en dårlig dag, hilste ikke og sa ikke et ord. Ingen info om noe som helst, fikk bare tildelt nøkkelkortet.
