"An excellent well maintained villa with everything you’d need for your stay. The outside has fantastic views with both sun and shade, a lovely pool and outdoor bbq area. We have loved are stay and would highly recommended booking. Thanks to hosts Marco and Meike and manager Georgina for a fantastic chilled holiday - loved every minute and hope to be back next year. "The property overall was in good condition, however there was some crumbling concrete around the pool that needs attention as its very sharp underfoot if not noticed. The views were great and the outdoor area was really nice, this is a very important consideration for my wife and I when booking our annual holiday in Spain, the drive from the main road to the Villa was well signposted and as we often find, the tracks are single file only and can be scary for first time visitors. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and unfortunately were too late to book again for 2026 ! we will definitely consider this property in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family"

"Cute little B&B right in near the centre of Competa, walking distance to supermarket, bars and restaurants. The room was clean and had all the necessities, a comfortable bed, and roomy shower with lots of hot water. Hosts were very quick to respond and provided easy instructions. The evening view from the terrace was definitely worth it!"

"Highly recommend. Gorgeous, central location overlooking the main Plaza and church tower. Incredible service - Maurice went above and beyond, meeting me at the town border to guide me through town to the parking spot, carrying my suitcase to and from my room, and providing me excellent advice on dining and sights. I also loved the rooftop gourmet breakfast and well-stocked honor bar. Such a thoughtful place to stay."

"Vréneli, Ruud, Estrella and Estela couldn’t have been better hosts. This is a fabulous space to relax in mountains of Andalusia, after an hour or so driving from Málaga airport. We hired a car from the airport and were glad to have chosen an automatic with a little more power than the average entry level rental car. The drive is fairly straightforward from Málaga Airport. By all accounts there are some amazing hikes, although the purpose of our trip was to switch off and relax as much as possible, and we had no intention of doing anything active. It’s tough to beat a delightful breakfast, freshly prepared and beautifully presented by Estela or Estrella, either looking towards La Maroma (the highest peak of the Sierra de Tejeda) or, from the other side of the table, down the valley to the Mediterranean Sea. Made better still with quality coffee, (and Cava’s always an option). Both Estrella and Estela were very patient with our extremely rudimentary Spanish conversations and have great local knowledge. Estrella very kindly made dinner reservations for us each night at different restaurants around Cómpeta, a short drive away. Our favourites were El Cortico Paco and for accommodating dietary requirements, the staff at El Pámpano were particularly helpful. We have already recommended Málaga Hills to friends and colleagues since returning home."

"We have just returned after a fantastic stay at Rafa’s charming villa. The villa itself is comfortable, very clean and plenty of space for families although it was just myself and my husband this time.The real wow factor of this villa is the outside space and its location with stunning views and sunsets to die for. I can’t recommend this villa enough to both couples seeking a peaceful romantic stay, or families with children as there is the pool table etc to keep them amused on lazy days around the pool area. The pool itself with the fantastic outside bathroom is just lovely and so refreshing! Evening swims were also enjoyed by myself and my husband. There are plenty of places to go and visit in the area, but one of my favourites is Frigiliana. A must to visit! I’m not a personal fan of the beach areas but that could just be me as too built up and busy for my liking. However, the village of Sayalonga itself is charming and has some delightful restaurants in particular Rafa’s own which was superb and I can highly recommend the aged T bone steak! Lots of amenities nearby. You will need a car to stay here but that shouldn’t put you off as it’s well worth having one to explore the local areas, and all the lovely traditional Spanish charm of the local villages.Thanks Rafa again for an amazing stay!"
