It was well presented and clean, and all the staff I interacted with were helpful, friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. "The hotel is literally stunning and everything is of a high quality finish. Our room was beautiful. Staff were very attattentive. Spa was lovely although I would of liked a jacuzzi and a couple of tge steam rooms were not working. Food was delicious only issue ws we had booked a table for 8pm and when we went was told there was no booking and restaurant was full.. ee were told we would need to eat in the gallery which we weren't happy with . After a tense discussion we were then took into tge restaurant where there were empty tables and remained that wy for the rest of the night so not sure why we were told they were full. This did slightly spoil things for us.. otherwise would of rated 5 stars."

"We liked the bus stop tight out front. We didn’t like the lack of info to get from the airport to the hotel and ended up walking with all of our luggage. The meals were supposed to be 1/2 board but the credit provided towards meals wasn’t enough to cover but one or two of the choices. The food itself was good. Very nice premises."

"We had a great 3 night stay at Hardgate Hotel. Unfortunately the Speckle Wood restaurant is now closed so had to go elsewhere for food. Breakfast wasn’t included but there was tea/coffee/etc supplied. Room was very clean and shower was great, rain shower or standard. Only some minor negatives and these are:- Need a full length mirror More hangers for wardrobe Need hooks on back of room door or on wall area for hanging up coats Bed was way too soft for us and affected sleep and need a better selection of pillows. There is a bar downstairs called Quoiters and that’s where you check in and collect keys. If you’re planning on having a drink there, some of the language is “choice” so be warned or broad-minded. :-) All in all we had an enjoyable stay and would use again as it is a perfect location for our requirements"
