Spacious Home on The Mckenzie River with access via the historic "Belknap Bridge" -- which is a covered bridge. This 2200 square foot beauty offers your group the space and amenities it deserves. The stated rate covers upto 4 total guests and gives you most of the house ( except for the office/gameroom amd third full bath) -- One king, a queen and a twin bed. Ask Jonathan if you have any questions. There is a huge open flow great room that connects the Kitchen with the dining room along with the living room and wood-stove. Fantastic for multi-generational gatherings or your larger group. The master bedroom offers a private full bath and a king size bed. The large window looking out over the Mckenzie River keeps you connected with nature. The bathroom offers a full size tub and a separate shower. The bedroom upstairs offers two twin beds and another full bath. A great view of the river can also be enjoyed here, especially with the window cracked open for the sound of the rushing water below. The TV is a streaming TV and also has a DVD player. The large screened in porch has a dining table for 6 with a view of the river and offers another two day beds for those who would rather sleep "outside". There is a nice BBQ grill on the deck and the kitchen is fully ready for home-prepared meals, but the three local restaurants call out to you with their individually unique specialties. Tokatee Golf Course is just a few minutes close. Terwilliger (Cougar) Hot-Springs is within 15 minutes. The Three Sisters Wilderness Area access point is just about 15 minutes close. The Mckenzie River Trail with the Blue Pool and multiple water falls is within 20 minutes. White-water raft, Fish, Kayake, and enjoy this top rated natural environment snuggled up against the majestic cascade mountains in the Upper Mckenzie River Valley of Oregon. You are surrounded by the Willamette National Forest here, so look that up and prepare for your Great Oregon Adventure! Call or email Jonathan if you have any questions or need a reference. We had a wonderful stay at the Belknap House. Everything is even more beautiful than the photos depict. The instructions were easy to follow and the owners were super responsive to any questions or minor issues that arose during our stay. I would highly recommend this property for a visit to McKenzie Bridge.
Lovely setting, well-equipped kitchen and living areas. We were very comfortable. Only a few minor recommendations: matches and paper for fire-starting in wood stove; Kleenex; more transparency about available sleeping areas - there were no mattresses on the sleeping porch beds. Otherwise it was perfect for our memorial gathering.
Memorial day weekend with friends at the Belknap House
We enjoyed our stay at the Belknap house. Jonathan was quick with answering all the questions we had before our trip, the house was clean, well maintained and is situated right on the river side with exceptional views.
I would definitely like to come back and stay here again in the future.
Very comfortable home right on the lovely waters of the Mackenzie River. Everything was as advertised or better. Comfortable beds, livingroom chairs, and well equipped kitchen which sometimes presented a "can you find me" challenge!" Both open deck and screened porch were great options to enjoy the river while reading, chatting, or playing a board game. Great active outdoor options too (e.g., hiking) nearby (be sure to hike the falls portion of the Mackenzie River Trail, about 30 minutes away). Very responsive home manager too. The only thing that was not 5-stars was the internet, which was sometimes slow and sometimes dropped the server, but that may be more related to the provider than the home owner.
We would’ve loved to have the hot tub available. It overlooks the river in such a neat setting and every time we looked out tear the back deck, the hot tube was a constant reminder.
We also wish there was a bathroom to use without invading someone’s bedroom.
Location was exactly what we wanted - right on the river. It’s gorgeous here and very conveniently located. McKenzie Bridge is a special place and this property was fabulous. We visited the area to experience the nature, and we were not disappointed. We’ll be back
Stayed for the weekend with my wife and father. It is a great launching point for all your adventures and activities up the McKenzie. Everything was as expected, clean bedding, clean towels.
Absolutely beautiful property, no doubt! Was disappointed that the hot tub was locked, although it was in the pictures.
Couldn’t figure out where the seventh and eighth person would sleep. And did not love the single ply…
This is a great home for enjoying the river and for access to the McKenzie Forest. I would highly recommend springing the extra cash for washer/dryer use, which also grants access to the very nice screened porch with its table and two twin beds. Also, you may consider bringing house slippers or some socks, as the owners do not want shoes worn in the house. Overall, a great stay and would definitely return.
Perfect setting for a quiet and restful few days. Appreciated the variety of board games, sound of river, comfort of beds, and ability to have individual space. Community offered nearby grocery store, restaurants, golf course. Johnathan recommended Sahalie Falls. Beautiful. Thank you.
This property was even lovelier than described, inside and out. My friends and I enjoyed reading and drinking our morning coffee out on the deck overlooking the river. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house was sparkling clean. The king bed was a tad hard for my preferences but that could be my aging joints.
Wifi was great, cell service was sparse, but we were there to vacation anyway.
It was a short drive to beautiful hikes (Blue Pool, Sahale & Koosah Falls), hot springs, and delicious food at the MacKenzie Bridge Station Pub.
We'd like to come back some day.
House was listed as 4 bedrooms and three bath. We purposely searched for a house with enough space for separate rooms. As we were only 3 people the additional rooms were locked and the host decided we didn’t need the extra bed and bathrooms. This resulted in adults having to share rooms and bathrooms. We looked for a house with enough space for all to allow for separate spaces. When contacted we were told that we would need to pay extra if we wanted the space. VRBO needs to update their policy for listing. Only the renter should determined what space can be used. This property should be listed as two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Communication
Absolutely gorgeous location on the river - with fantastic patio. A few issues that kept it from 5 stars.1. "Gotcha Pricing". Booked a year ago - and thought I had rented the house. The day before we arrived - we get a message, "do you want to rent the 2 optional rooms?" No communication about this for a year... and then the day before we arrive, the price essentially goes up 50%. I had missed it in the fine print... but it felt like "gotcha".2. Horrible water pressure for all 6 days. No communication until I reached out. The response was, "Yes, we know - we are getting it fixed after you leave."
