"We stayed here for a weekend in the area. We went to a concert in Charlottesville on Saturday night and this was a great, quiet location for us to get to the concert and also enjoy a few places along 151. We enjoyed our stay, though it was a rainy weekend so we didn't get to enjoy the property or the many trails on the property as I had hoped. Great accommodations if you don't mind the bed on the lower level and the bath up. We didn't have an issue with that and the owners are very upfront about that detail. They were very responsive and the details about the property are spot on. Thanks! "

"The Shamokin Chalet (Grand Chalet) was a gorgeous home with amazing mountain views! It was one of the most well appointed homes I’ve stayed in - well stocked kitchen (paper products, spices, dishes, cooking supplies, coffees), shampoos, conditioners, body wash, toilet paper and plenty of towels in all bathrooms, even beach towels for the hot tub. The home was beautifully decorated and immaculate. The landscaping was gorgeous. It had the most massive TV I’ve ever seen. The owner was a great communicator, texts were timely and he was quick to respond. My family would definitely come back to this lovely home! "
"This was a great home for our family to spend Thanksgiving. Plenty of space for everyone and we loved the open floor plan of the main level. Home was decorated nicely and had everything we needed, plus many special touches. Wish we could have enjoyed the deck but we were limited on time and weather. The trail to the waterfall is a must do... a nice quick little hike. If you're leary on renting as a "new" listing on VRBO, I realized this home has been rented out for years and the guest book supports many great experiences!"
